Revshare option still worth it these days?
When promoting a sponsor, should I choose revshare or pay per signup?
I remeber back in the day it was revshare but lots has changed since then. |
well.... no...
|
Depends if you want rebills and if the site(s) retain members.
A mix might work. |
Not as much as before.

Rev share is still the way to go if you are in it long term.
So long as the program updates weekly and takes care of member support it will pay of in the long run. I have had rebills now that have been going for six plus years and still making coin off them. In these times getting those monthly rebills really helps. |
i promote 90% of my sponsors trough revshare and get pretty neat results, have some people re-bill for over 12 months.. but revshare is for long term only..

If a program has stopped updating then go PPS only.
If a program has live interactives, cam shows, member updates, videos, chats, etc then go RevShare. That's it. |
everything has been told :)

As mentioned before in this thread, as long as the site provides enough updates for their members, go for revshare. If the site is a very specific niche, it helps even more (well, usually). Just experiment and see what works best for you, I personally prefer revshare over pps.

If you're just starting out, PPS could be useful to fund the site expansion. I suggest a combination, starting with mostly PPS and moving slowly towards more Revshare less PPS. But if you notice the majority of RevShare people canceling quickly, then you know that sponsor is only good as PPS for you.

fuck it. the economy has killed rebills. go pps if you can. the old cliches aren't in effect anymore.
|
revshare is overrated... in some cases you may make more with it, but often you actually end up making less, if you add in the risk of something going wrong with processor/sponsor/etc and take into account "time value of money", then revshare doesn't look so appealing anymore... with rare exceptions I'll take PPS over revshare any day...

I did a little test on my traffic last year and found that when all was said and done I made almost the exact same amount on revshare as I did on pps. The difference was that for revshare I had to wait for anywhere from 3-6 months to get paid all the money since you get paid out as rebills hit and with pps you get paid right away. So to me it isn't really worth it. There are some programs that I promote that only do revshare, and I still promote them, but I don't really make any more than I would if they were doing PPS. Plus Revshare really isn't a true sharing. Many revshare sites have exit consoles that you don't get paid for or other traffic leaks that you don't get paid for. They have cross sales that you don't get paid for and upsells in the members area that you don't get paid for. |
it depends on the site and the sponsors...

pps.....
