Webair WTF?

Webair, I have no account on your lousy hosting however today I noticed I was charged 4 times by you? How is that even possible?

Virtual 24 Sep 2009 WEBAIR INTERNET DEVELOPME $-9.95
Virtual 24 Sep 2009 WEBAIR INTERNET DEVELOPME $-9.95 Virtual 24 Sep 2009 WEBAIR INTERNET DEVELOPME $-9.95 Virtual 24 Sep 2009 WEBAIR INTERNET DEVELOPME $-9.95

I demand an immediate refund and information on where do you have my credit card info from. And forum if you ask why I come here with this, well their website is so retarded that the online chat is not opening in firefox and certainly I have no time/I am too lazy to call them or write them an email

edit,

I just checked my previous statement, there are no other charges from webair, only this one sudden 4 times charge. This can be certainly called a fraud!!!

Va2k 10-01-2009 04:45 AM

I was told Sandy isnt there in billing anymore and the new person Diana well so far um... she is green around the collar and not too friendly! *shrugs* Wish Sandy was still there!

synapse 10-01-2009 04:45 AM

or possibly a mistake ... ?

i'm sure if u give 'em a call they'll get it sorted for you ASAP (I have no vested interest in this FYI just someone who's never had anything but great customer service from WebAir)

hjnet 10-01-2009 04:47 AM

Maybe someone stole your CC info and went on shopping tour. The same thing happend to me a few years ago, the carder bought some virtual hosting accounts (maybe for illegal stuff), signed up to some paysites (I guess to collect the PPS payment) and so on....

maddox 10-01-2009 04:49 AM

I absolutely do not give a shit about who works there and if this was a mistake. Yeeeah a mistake, riiight, they mistakenly charged credit card of a person who is not their customer and charged it 4 times :))) I will also not call them because I am too lazy (I tried online chat, it does not open), I only came here to GFY to let you know about this company shady practices, I will do chargeback anyway, fuck you webair

Stealing cc info is hardly possible, also the cc would not be charged 4 times by the same company on the same day (easy to spot by the merchant, isn't it?)

Net Money 10-01-2009 04:50 AM

Might not actually be webair but some scumbag that stole your CC and used it to pau there hosting bill at webair? anyway webair should eaisly be able to figure it all out.:2 cents:

so because their website is so retarded and the online chat does not open in FF3 and IE7 (btw how can a hosting company website be so retarded?) I wait for them to come here and resolve it

maddox 10-01-2009 04:53 AM

yeah as you see *retarded* is my new favourite word in english :)

alias 10-01-2009 04:54 AM

Good luck to get this resolved, chill though. Even if it is some shady shit they will obviously refund your money to save face.

CamTraffic 10-01-2009 04:55 AM

they have a direct phone number, why not call them?

Quote:

certainly I have no time/I am too lazy to call them or write them an email
wow really? but you have the time / energy to complain about it

amusing:2 cents:

maddox 10-01-2009 04:58 AM

it is a lot easier to write here and let you know about this company business practices than to call them :) and I repeat for the third time, I tried online chat but it doesn't open

alias 10-01-2009 04:59 AM

No doubt, gfy gets problems solved. That is why no other board can compare, they may be cool and all but GFY can fix your problem, NOW. It is pretty tight.

My CC was only used at 3 places at that time, Google, Yahoo and an Adult Company. It only takes one employee to steal your data.

My Carder was even funny enough to donate money to Amnesty International, and I charged those $0.16 back from them :1orglaugh

BlackCrayon 10-01-2009 05:03 AM

webair seems to pull a lot of shady shit lately. I had a domain with them, the very day it expired it went to redemption so they basically are charging me 65 bucks to renew. not even godaddy is that bad...

Exoclick 10-01-2009 05:03 AM

It would be so much easier to just give them a call. You are most probably generating some bad publicity for nothing.

As he's from Vienna I'd say english isn't his first language, and international calls ain't cheap either....

okny 10-01-2009 05:13 AM

Contact them directly instead of making a huge fuss over 40$

If the numbers had at least another zero then maybe something to worry about even if that but anyways who am i to talk 40$ might be a lot to someone...

RenegadeCash Mark 10-01-2009 05:20 AM

Could be some carder.

They usually do a few small transactions first to test the waters.

Though webair must not be up to scratch with antifraud. Most billers will not charge a card
more than once in the same day for the same shit. All depends on the market though.

yeah, $40 is like 20 liters of fuel to my ferrari 599

But this is not about money, this is about some shitty company stealing from me

haha :thumbsup

ok in this case ill bill $40 from your cc okny. if you dont care, this should be no problem, right?

what is this crap about, why cant they resolve this issue quickly?

and i wouldnt call them either, as english is not my first language and because international calls are expensive from europe just exactly as hjnet stated.

Anytime I call them I am dealt with in minutes, problem solved, done deal.

I guess people think GFY is webair support.

CyberHustler 10-01-2009 06:15 AM

Yo, where webair at?

maddox 10-01-2009 06:17 AM

I dont think GFY is webair support site but as someone stated earlier GFY certainly solves problems ::)

alias 10-01-2009 06:21 AM

No, you want attention.

The matter wouldve been fixed had you called or emailed, you chose to run to GFY , FIRST. Ive been with webair for like 7 years and have used their phone support many times, very prompt fixes to everything ive ever inquired about.

You seek attention not remedy. Problem couldve been fixed by now instead of making a thread, fact.

Shut the fuck up moron, you're obviously one of the most talentless designers on this board, go sell some more $5 galleries, your opinion doesn't mean jack shit.

dyna mo 10-01-2009 06:33 AM

this isn't a support issue.

I am sympathetic to the nature of thread, weve all been hit with fraud at one time or another, I just think theres better route to remedy than running to GFY and making a thread, even bragging you dont have time to call or email, thats lame.

that is all, nothing to fight or flame about, just simple as that.

WebairMetz 10-01-2009 07:05 AM

maddox 10-01-2009 07:25 AM

I write to you on icq, no response :)

Sam Granger 10-01-2009 07:32 AM

You added him to icq and posted back here about it all within 20 or less minutes that there isn't any responce? Wait a bit longer, not saying you're inpatient, but I'm sure they'll find the cause of this and deal with it in the correct manner. They are nice guys, don't sweat. :thumbsup

that makes you think you are immune from credit card theft? someone swiped your card # & opened 4 accounts with webair. if you had any brains you would call your bank & report your card stolen. Duh...

I am absolutely surprised how funny you guys are here on gfy, no pun intended :)

none of you have absolutely no idea who I am and what I do, but you are able to ready my skills from my posts. I never said stealing cc info is impossible, I only said it is hardly possible because I never use that card, and yeah 'swiping the card'..... this is virtual visa card :)))

the issue is being resolved on icq as we speak

maddox 10-01-2009 08:12 AM

the issue was resolved to my liking, thanks gfy :)

18teens 10-01-2009 08:14 AM

You need to call your bank and have that card turned off before more fraud hits it.

digifan 10-01-2009 08:20 AM

Iron Fist 10-01-2009 08:49 AM

I've been carded before, call your CC company NOW... and I mean RIGHT FUCKING NOW and get your cards stopped and replaced, and reported. The longer you wait, the less likely they will believe you and fuck you over. The CC company will reverse the charges automatically, no need to negotiate with WebAir.

Adraco 10-01-2009 09:58 AM

To come running around an make much ado about nothing (well, $40) seems somewhat impatient. Especially since this isn't Webair support. I'm not a webair customer, but I see them on here all the time and they always have good answers. +1 for a standup company!

Also, about phone charges for international calls: It's cheaper for me to dial an American number from my Swedish phone while in Sweden than it is to dial a domestic number from my American phone when back in the US. It's called competition, we have it in Europe while America still is much of a phone monopoly with At&T and the "Baby-Bells". Yeah, yeah, they say it's de-regulated but... Really? It isn't reflected in prices yet, at least.
