What's the best free program to batch convert .MOV files to .AVI?
Bought a new Canon Powershot digital camera today and I love it, however - the ones I bought in the past all saved movies as .AVI's ... so I figured out Microsoft Movie Maker and have edited a bunch of home movies of the family over the past few years
Like I said, I love the camera so I don't want to return it. I'd rather take the time and use one of my other computers to batch convert the files. Any help is appreciated! |
this is my favorite one: http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/download.htm

There's high tech and low tech ... and I'm virtually no tech ;) Thanks for the suggestion tho!!! :upsidedow Quote:
-- I guess another question would be: is there another editing software I should try that's as simple to use as Windows Movie Maker - that I can import these .MOV files ... and that has transitions and effects ... so I can edit the clips ... add titles, etc. and save as WMV, MPEG & flash files? |

Super is by far and away the easiest to batch convert anything to anything else.
If you also have a Mac I would suggest using iDVD to make DVD's of your family stuff, as it's extremely easy to use, and the results are professional and look like you know what you're doing even though you know different. |
