Anyone have psoriasis?
I have a small spot of it on my elbow, knee and stomach. i have some cream from the doctor, but it never really seems to go away.
I had it before years ago on my knee, but somehow wet away, but I think it had to do with being out in the sun and having a LOT less stress in my life. I was reading on another forum a little bit ago about people saying stress is a huge factor, as well as diet. just curious to see if anyone has/had it and knows of anything good that works |
A little bit of Vaseline or some Hydrocortizone for the bad spots.
My mom whose a nurse says to stop stressing so much. Which is pretty true. |
I had it on my ass but it went when I stopped using toilet paper
|
I have it on my scalp and on my chest and sometimes on the right side of my chin especially if I grow a beard out for a little while
The humidity in Panama helps When I get stressed out you can clearly see it on my head almost immediately It doesn't bother me nearly as much any more as I'm a lot less stressed out than I used to be I used to use this special psoriasis cream that had a Bee logo on the front of it, forget what it was called, and that used to help a lot at the time... but now I don't even need any kind of cream or moisturizer 90% of the time |
Only mildly.
I have a boatload of stress right now, which is a massive factor I believe. Moving house in 2 weeks, second child on the way, hatching around xmas day, a stupid amount of work to put to bed before then...and sleeping only 4 hours per night doesn't help. Need to try and reduce stress as much as poss. |
uv light should help it go away
|
A & D ointment is amazing for it

man... I had that shit for about 6months. Bitch was it was under my eyes and on my nips (lol)
Only thing that actually helped was Hydrocortizone. When I managed to get rid of the stress the shit went away though. Start doing a bit of mediation/excessive and it'll start to go away. not gunna happen over night but it will |
I had it in my hairline for a year or so when i was a kid, when i moved from home I was fine. I blame the water supply cos when I visit anyone in the town I grew up with for any period of time it comes back. Coal tar always worked as a treatment for me.

Eucerin cream if you live in the states. It's the most wonderful stuff in the world. And for anything more severe I use hydrocortizone.
I never had problems, until I left Florida for the grey drizzly days of the Netherlands. ;-\ |
My cousin has. It's not contagious though but the medicine here are so expensive.
|
Topical corticosteroids are most effective, or oral retinoids and topical corticosteroids if that doesn't work and the condition is quite severe.
If the side effects of that don't appeal to you, emollients, topical retinoids, topical vitamin D-derivatives, dithranol, calcipotriene (possibly in combination with corticosteroids) and tars can all work. |

i noticed the same thing when i moved from Cali to PA, I think it has something to do with the water here |
Yeah I have it. Didn't think I'd ever see a GFY thread on it.
People report variances on humidity, diet, stress, zinc, etc. Read up all about it at http://www.psoriasis.org/ |
I have it as well, mostly on my scalp. Pretty much dealt with it since I was a kid and it never seems to fully go away.
