Raiders defensive assistant Randy Hanson met with investigators from the Napa Valley Police Department last week and told them that Tom Cable was responsible for a broken jaw that he suffered back on August 5, at the team?s training camp facility. The incident occurred during a meeting that included a few other Raiders defensive assistants, who have also met with detectives regarding the matter.
Hanson?s lawyer, John McGuinn, confirmed that the coach, who was told to stay away from the team?s facilities following the altercation, met with the po po and dropped the dime on Cable, after previously refusing to speak on the situation. McGuinn said that the incident was ??a textbook case of felony assault.?
While police have yet to make a decision on whether to charge Cable, he might be in some deep do do. You can best believe that Hanson will struggle to find another league job after dropping the dime. Nobody likes a tattle tale.

Cable's record is 5-10 so far with the Raiders. The Raiders are currently 30th (out of 32 teams) in scoring. If he can't get the offense ignited sometime soon, his career as a Head Coach will be short.
Of course, his legal issue (and what the NFL decides to do about it), may make his tenure as Head Coach a moot point.
What used to be a finely run organization and team is now among the dregs of the league, and I am afraid that is where they will remain until Al Davis either truly passes the reigns over to a competent GM and good Head Coach, or until Al Davis passes on.
The game has passed him Al Davis by...but he is to proud/stupid to accept that, or else he has nothing better to do at this late stage in his life (Davis is 80 years old). :2 cents:
