I'm on a diet.
Really.
Last time my diet lasted 3 days. Now I'm on my 4th day, I have never ever managed a week... I'm anxious about this milestone, I've set my mind on it.. and after that another week... I don't know your weight system, but I weight around 140kg, I think that's like 280lbs?... I plan to weight 100kg by summer. Any bets? :) |
How tall are ya?
|

I don't actually know my weight. I don't have a scale. Last time I checked I weighted 120kgs, and I bet I've gained weight (although I fit in the same pants, I think they've stretched) |
oh,then you are not 140kg for sure, cause in the pics you don't look for 140kg. Relax!

I just started a diet yesterday also. I'm gonna drop 60 lbs if it kills me. I'm going the low fat and exercise route.

I have lost 7 lbs in the first two weeks. |
Diets don't work, proven fact.
Lower you daily calorie intake PLUS exercise (no matter how little) will result in weight loss. Its not a race, do it slowly and healthily. Cut out the fast food, that's always the worst. Eat fish, chicken, veggies, fruits, good stuff like that You should have a weekly update, let us cheer you on kinda thing (if you last past day 4 that is) :1orglaugh Good luck :thumbsup |
I used to weigh over 400 pounds. Now I weigh in under 260, been holding the line under 300 for around 7 years now.
|
TGF good luck man, stick with it.
Nothing could be more rewarding, for you as well as your health. Keep it up man, dont give in. :thumbsup |
And remember, if you fall off the wagon get right back on. You can do it.

With the X-mas holiday season approaching seems like a dangerous time to be starting a diet...
Though I'm not sure if its as over the top in europe as it is in North America |
Oh boy do I know where you are comming from. Just like you my weight is around my belly and it is a bugger to shed. Been on a diet for about 4 months (which is longer than I have ever followed one) and have dropped about 40 lbs but still have loads to go.
Just keep at it and don't expect it to melt away...wouldn't be healthy anyway. |
i dropped from 225lbs (102kg) to 208lbs (94kg) during past 3 months.. all i did was not eat too much and exercise 2-3 times a week.. and im 6'1" (185cm) tall...
|
hey i got an idea...lets start a go fuck yourself weight loss club....what do you all think
|
I think I'm around 140lb. I want to drop to 120lb.
I'm about 5'8". |

I'm a big fan of Atkins (I've lost 40 lbs. since the end of july). Keep in mind that after you lose the weight, you can't go back to eating like you used to, or it will all come back, and more.
Holding most of your weight around your belly is a sure sign of insulin resistance, and people with insulin resistance respond well to a lower-carbohydrate diet. If you don't care to go the Atkins route, at least cut out all flour and sugar from your diet, and you will see results. Get most of your carbs from vegetables (leafy green ones). |
The last time I shed a few pounds, I found what worked best for me was 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on 2 days off, 3 days on 1, day off.... alternating like that. I didn't go crazy on the days off just went from about 1200 calories a day max to 1,600-1,800 on those days.
It worked better than anything else I've ever done. I read somewhere recently (and it makes sense) that if you diet continually your body goes into 'famine mode'.. it slows down it's metabolism and works to convert as much food eating to fat to store for the future as it can. This 'famine mode' kicks in after 72 hours. So a break every 3 days helps to keep you burning what you're eating instead of storing it. |
bro,
Make sure you eat 6 times a day with smaller portions, equal protein and carbs, drink 8 glasses of water a day, and of course work out and youll be there in 1 month, guaranteed |
