Spam and Server hosts
How much responsibility falls on a host when it comes to spam mail?
I have under two separate companies servers with different companies and have pretty much figured out some hosts get KILLED with constant spam mail and some do not. Completely separate servers under the same host getting the same types of spam mail. Same host then when I moved over and transferred my domains the mailbox on them got pounded from minute one. Anyone run into this type of shit, or am I just overly annoyed by spam on a Monday morning? |
Maybe one server has better spam protection?

Hosts have different methods of filtering spam and some block more than others, but they can't block it all because whats good for one person isnt good for another so there needs to be a happy medium. It's up to you to use your own spam filters to catch whats left after your host filters what they can from their mail servers...:2 cents::2 cents:
