I think most of the people aren't pissed as much about the recent bannings as they are pissed about the same thing those board suiciders were pissed about - GFY/Playboy actively promoting the largest pirates in the adult industry, who are probably taking a lot more from GFY/Playboy in your own lost business due to their sites with tons of free unlicensed full scenes than they are actually paying you guys for skinning this board and the sticky thread. The reason people are pissed is because it's EVERYONE they're taking business from through their nefarious means. They can say all day long that they run a legitimate business, that "omg we have no control over what our 'users' upload", etc., but OJ can say all day long he didn't kill Nicole and it doesn't change the truth.
I think what's probably been more enraging to people is that despite dozens of angry threads on this asking why the heck GFY would take a skin deal like this, absolutely no response from GFY/Playboy on the matter. I think people feel they're owed an explanation, especially if they've been members here for several years and helped this place grow and thrive as a strong adult webmaster community by their continual activity and discussion here.
But hey, I've only been here less than 3 years and am not even in adult, so what do I know? Don't listen to me...I'm a relative nobody here merely guessing this is what's on people's minds...perhaps some other people can either confirm this or say nope, that they are only just pissed at the bannings for some reason even though you're perfectly correct that the rules are crystal clear and must be followed. I myself personally don't care but as you've seen over the past 24 hours, a lot of people have a strong root here and were really hurt the moment they saw this skin, which I'm sure they never expected to ever see coming here. I DO care that tubes are fucking up this industry because I've sold over $100k in adult domains here and lack of successful adult webmasters means less business for me, and it seems ridiculous that the cause of it is pirates who are not only in plain sight doing it but more actively spotlighting themselves than any legitimate site out there now. I just don't care about GFY's ethics because business is business...if Playboy thought it was a good idea and/or needed the money, sobeit...it's your decision, and likewise your consequences to deal with afterwards.
