Kurt Cobain's "Journals"

has anyone bought this and read it? I was at the bookstore today, was ready to purchase, but then saw the price.

$29.95 seems like a lot for about 150 pages of scribbles. Plus, we all know where that money is gonna go; straight to Courtney's future plastic surgery trust fund.

Is it worth the donation?

Yeah, I have it.
IT's pretty much weird shit, lyrics and stuff.
Fun in some aspects.. but mostly useless crap. :)

I read the preview in Newsweek and it didn't interest me much. I felt like I was invading his personal space too much.

You can get it for $18.86 at buy.com, or $20.00 with media mail shipping at half.com.

I thought it was pretty interesting. Im not even a Nirvana fan. He was just so obviously talented and had quite a way with words. Much of it is humorous as well. Like, he will be talking about a certain subject for a couple of pages and suddenly come up with some strange idea out of left field in the middle of the page. I felt like it had been edited by Courtney a little to maybe get out most everything that referenced her, but thats ok, shes not that interesting anyway. :)

Isn't that kinda like buying Anna Nichole Smith's Diet Cookbook?
