OMG. It's snowing!

It has been raining all morning and the temp has been dropping. I just looked out the window and we have big, fluffy snow flakes coming down. WTF? It is only September! I have a feeling we are in for a long, hard winter.

MaDalton 09-21-2009 09:08 AM

cue the people that make ignorant remarks about global warming...

L-Pink 09-21-2009 09:09 AM

I love Tampa!

Lace 09-21-2009 09:14 AM

Getting chilly here, but thankfully we haven't gotten any snow and probably wont for a few months yet.

Tom_PM 09-21-2009 09:16 AM

Tanker 09-21-2009 09:18 AM

It is the last day of summer! Wow, lol. We had a very mild summer as well. Oh well. Bring it on! Like Tanker, I am looking forward to hitting the slopes and doing some winter mountain biking :)

Seems most everyone had a mild summer. Was not really hot here all summer, and July was not hot at all. Got fairly warm in August but not overly hot. September was not hot at all either. But heck only here in the south in TN. Not usually hot in the south.. lol

Sosa 09-21-2009 09:30 AM

It's cold and rainy here. Was all last night as well. We are about 4.5 hours from Denver but really doubt we see of the white stuff for a while.

it was as hot as can be down here in New Orleans. It was like 108 in June. :Oh crap

I can't wait for my air conditioner to shut off for more than a couple minutes in the evening.

the only time it cooled off was when it was storming rain, and that weather sucks too. Then it stops and the sun comes out and nothing but humidity and sweat.

I will be back in So Cal eventually...

cherrylula 09-21-2009 09:34 AM

we did have one day of snow last winter, it was pretty cool. I was laughing, it was hilarious and awesome at the same time. :)

I think I remember hearing about that on the news.

Rochard 09-21-2009 09:48 AM

I can't remember the last time I saw snow. Must have been about fifteen years ago.

Oh no, wait, we drove up to Tahoe a few years ago just so my daughter can see snow. It was her first time.

I'm not all for this global warming. I honestly believe that our planet goes through changes, and these changes last decades if not longer. I think we all have become used to the weather the way it is and has always been, but this is changing. And the effect the human race has had over the weather and the planet itself has been minimal.

Seems to me that summers have been longer and hotter; And winters have been brutal. I don't recall hearing stories about entire areas being flooded out because it's raining, which seems to be the case in Georgia today. Seems to me this is becoming more and more common these days.

I think pretty soon Arizona, Southern California, and Florida will be unbearable to live in shortly. We'll see it in our lifetime.

I do not like Denver, people here are "Sensually Retarded" for the most part, California, on the other hand... Not snowing on my side of town yet, btw.

WiredGuy 09-21-2009 09:52 AM

I was just swimming last night in my pool!

Sensually retarded, :1orglaugh We like it here for all the outdoor stuff we can do. Camping, mountain biking, skiing. The snow didn't last long (on the SE part of town) before turning back to rain.

potter 09-21-2009 10:43 AM

It'll be cloudy and raining all week. This sucks.

bbobby86 09-21-2009 10:49 AM

Way3 09-21-2009 10:50 AM

The temp gauge reads 43 F degrees.

papagmp 09-21-2009 11:02 AM

No snow in "The Springs" yet but it's been cold and raining lightly since I got up - perfect hot tub weather ;-) Low clouds so I can't see Pikes Peak - but I'm sure it's covered in snow.

If it freezes tonight I'll loose about 40 lbs of tomatoes and 5 lbs of peppers in the garden that should be be ripening up next week - this mild summer just didn't push the garden as fast as normal. I'll sneak out in the rain and pick a few of the maters and the jalapenos just in case.

It was coming down pretty hard down near Castle Pines. We just moved to the area a few months ago. It was cool while it lasted :) Plus, we'll be back to 75 by the weekend!

I have been noticing that as well. I have also met quite a few people at the shows that live here or in the area. Looks like we need to have a Denver happy hour sometime!

Davy 09-21-2009 01:24 PM

Wow. Good luck for the coming winter, then.
