Are there FEDS at the conventions?
I saw this post from someone named 'KRL' in another thread.
" I know a lot of guys that make a ton of bucks but haven't even gone to a single show ever. Some I think just like to maintain their privacy since there are Feds cruising and snapping pics at some of the shows." Is this fucking true? I always figured that they would be at the conventions. It's a known fact that they attend all of the Hacker conventions. I'm a nobody but I don't approve of people snapping pics of me just for shits and giggles. |
they're outside of your house snapping some pics.

It's not like we're all doing anything wrong so don't worry about it. I wasn't aware of it either til one year in Vegas when a buddy pointed out the two FBI agents that were there. They pretty much stood out like a sore thumb compared to the webmasters. And it was kind of obvious the way they were taking pictures. I think though they were just compiling dosiers and stuff on the major video producers at the show.
I don't know for sure if Feds still come, but at the Florida show I'd never seen such a big totally in your face law enforcement presence like that. Man every corner you turned there was a crewcut stern faced cop staring you down like we were all the scum of the earth. |
i was really fucked up at a show in chicago and got all paranoid -- thought a couple of guys were the cops -- long story short, they weren't. i don't think being concerned about the feds is reason to not visit a show.
i mean fuck, massivecock is at all the shows and he's got the inside scoop. |
Not really FEDS, well except for the occasional horny IRS Agents that are always lurking about.
|
There was a few government officials at the show
in 2000 / IA2000 New Orleans. |
They are at many shows, mostly US Customs agents etc.
|
I would imagine there are plenty of feds at the shows watching people acting like fools and the pulic drug use.
|
short answer.
yes. |
I have nothing to hide.
I dont break copywrites, I dont have CP, Beasts, bumfights or fisting. :thumbsup |

the question should be:
Has anyone ever been arrested at the shows? |

Truthfully, if the Feds want you, not getting the chance to take your pic at a show, won't matter much in the big scheme of things...:winkwink:

... but I see the reasoning BVF has. Kinda reminds me of back in the day when the Feds used to video tape cliques at the park on Sunday. Come to find out, they had snitches in jail fingering people for cookies. LOL Cats around my way was catching cases over a bag of OREO's! Moral of the Story: They do start somewhere.:1orglaugh |
I don't know about FEDs but back in New Orleans the cops were taking photos of people going into the players ball when I flipped them off.
Brad :thumbsup |
If they are looking to arrest fools, I can think of a few that really stand out. Perhaps I should call up and ask lol
|
I hear they are going after spammers first, even non adult ones.
|
feds read the boards.. IRS agents trying to build cases, etc.. know this from personal experience.
|
"I hear they are going after spammers first"
shit, better cash out ;) |
the only reason why you would be so concerned is if your doing something wrong.
I don't honestly think the feds/cops will do anything at shows or at the parties - regardless of the "drug use" if any. when you go to an Eminem show do the cops search for people blazing one up and arrest them? hell no! they don't really care. maybe I'm wrong but I have never seen it happen or heard of it happening. now the IRS on the other hand - shit those guys would have a field day at porn shows :BangBang: |

Hey guys, first post on this board.
I have been attending these shows for a few years now, and it seems to have always been a foregone conclusion that the Feds and well as local plainclothes are in attendence. Just seems to make sense. As far as the picture thing... I don't like having my picture taken even when I know about it, however there is a fairly large sign posted outside of the Internext shows that states that by entering you agree to be photographed. I have seen similar signs at other public events, so I'm pretty sure that's all they need to do. |
on a flight out of vegas once I ened up on a plane that was full of teamsters. they just had their annual convention (jimmy hoffa's son was elected their grand puba) there was like 3 people on the plane who weren't teamsters, and the other two were FBI. Funny, all the teamsters looked like they came out of the Sopranos and were a blast to talk to. They told me that every time the teamsters have a convention the FBI take photos of the whole thing. Then they pointed out the FBI agents on the plane to me and waved at them, the two agents were soo dumb that they pretended that they didn't know what was happening, the WHOLE FUCKING PLANE WAS TEAMSTERS plus me and these FBI agents. duuuu. The teamsters KNEW EVERYONE but me and the FBI, and they loved the fact that I was in porn cause they didn't think it was a story that any FBI agent would use as cover.
The had the stewardesses avoid the agents for being idiots and they got no drinks the rest of the 3 hour flight after they pretended they weren't FBI (North West Air stewardesses are in the teamsters union) |
