Mac's death kills off ocean's fourteen

well said thats real talk there:2 cents:

Moviemaker STEVEN SODERBERGH has ruled out another OCEAN'S ELEVEN sequel because no one wants to carry on the film franchise without funnyman BERNIE MAC.
MAC, who portrayed Frank Catton in all three Ocean's movies, died last year (08) and now Soderbergh can't imagine making a fourth film without him.
He says, "For me it was three (movies) and out but any possibility of ever revisiting that ended when Bernie MAC died. I don't think any of us would want to go back and do that without him, so that's it."

No doubt.

Good... finally someone taking a stand instead of catering to the money...

I liked all three and Bernie Mac not being in an Ocean's movie would be strange, having someone else replace him would be even stranger.

brassmonkey 09-14-2009 03:45 AM

he will be missed

Sarah_Jayne 09-14-2009 04:20 AM

or also because they got worse each time?

Joe King 09-14-2009 04:47 AM

The first one was good but the others sucked so nobody really gives a fuck.

Yes, Bernie Mac was a funny guy. RIP

they only do these types of things because they know it will fail, has nothing to do with bernie mac although the fact he wont be in it, so they dump the idea...

remember what they did with heath Ledger? They dont care about dead people in Hollywood. Dead folks make studios richer... they dropping the idea because it will flop.

oceans 11 was good, but 12 was a big disappointment. I havent even bothered renting 13 based on how bored I was with 12. So it's a good thing 14 will never happen.

Still a shame Mac died so young. RIP!

John-ACWM 09-14-2009 07:55 AM

Interesting thinking.

shimmy2 09-14-2009 08:04 AM

nothing beats mac's role in the players club

AssAssassin 09-14-2009 08:05 AM

He was a great talent.

Never saw any of them. Isn't the original a remake anyway? RIP

ToplistBlog_Com 09-14-2009 05:10 PM

Glad Soderbergh put his foot down on that. With a new BSG movie and a Viewmaster movie coming out, Hollywood will throw money at anything it seems.
