9/12 More Republican **LIES** Caught Faking Photos, Pumping the Numbers

The Republican party is just killing themselves.

Is Malkin Selling Phony March Numbers?
The "9/12 Tea Party" in DC today isn't high on any of our must-watch lists, but it is huge news in the land of the Right Wing. Run by FreedomWorks, who has paid for the whole thing, this rally is getting fluffed by CNN and positively tongue-washed by Fox.

Numbers of the participants vary from "tens of thousands" (New York Times, Washington Post) to "close to a million (ABC News).

But Michelle Malkin is claiming 2 MILLION!

And has the photo to prove it!

You actually believe that the photos were doctored when MSNBC was showing the LIVE feed from that tower? :1orglaugh

ABC was also reporting 2 million, the cops were reporting 1.2 to 1.5. :error

Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the group that organized the event, said on stage at the rally that ABC News was reporting that 1 million to 1.5 million people were in attendance.

At no time did ABC News, or its affiliates, report a number anywhere near as large. ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands."

So was MSNBC doctoring their live feed too?

TheSenator 09-13-2009 01:28 PM

"The DC Fire Department has issued an unofficial estimate of 60,000 to 70,000 people in attendance, which is smallish by big DC protest/event standards but definitely respectable. Meanwhile, organizers and various participants are claiming one or two million have shown up but that the numbers are being suppressed by pro-Obama media, etc"

So why is the title Republican's?
Oh yeah, everyone believes that if you're not a dem you're a republican.
The only reason that the republicans are interested is because it's against the current administration and it's all democrat now.
2 party system doesn't work for anyone but the 2 party system

The desperation of the left is really starting to show as mindless Obamabots like TheSenator make countless threads attempting to demonize and marginalize the legitimate protests of mainstream America against Obama's left wing agenda. The shrillness of his posts only serve to highlight how desperate he and the other leftist useful idiots are to divert attention away from Obama's crumbling popular support. :disgust

99% is a little high. The GOP endorced it, but then GOP likes the idea of lower taxes, which is what the Tea Party movement is doing. I mean now they are talking about putting extra taxes on soda pop. The government is getting bigger since Obama got in, and we need to pay for that right? So they raise taxes, add more taxes, seems these days that is what defines a political career. People are getting tired of it.

Only thing is... whenever there's a GOP government, there's a deficit; when there's a Dem govt., they exit with a surplus...

Seems to me the Republican government spends money they don't have then Democrats come in and collect it on taxes, only to let the next Republican administration spend that and then some into the negative....

It looks like a cycle or a checks & balance swing equation, assuming that some decades you'll have dems, others reps...

Either way, as fucked as our Canadian govt. has become, the US seems really strangled by a (two-party) system built to re-enforce itself at the population's expense...

:D
