If you had the cosmic power to bring ONE BAND back together, who would it be?

I'll give you two, 1 living band and 1 band have members who are dead. You could resurrect them in their prime, not in a washed up, has-been state.

Mine...

Alive: Maggies Dream

Dead: The Beatles
* If John and Paul refused, and their cosmic powers were greater than mine, I would get Zepplin as a replacement.

i'd say bring back jerry garcia. Cause you know they would still be together doing their thing just the same as always. (still are. just would be nice with jerry.) A lot of the other bands might end up still going different ways, etc.

NaughtyRob 09-12-2009 12:03 PM

Sublime. My close second would be Nirvana.

Lee 09-12-2009 02:32 PM

The Stone Roses or The Smiths out of the living bands.

Realistically I would have to go for The Beatles for bands with dead peeps, then Floyd as Rick is sadly no longer with us then Queen.

Well, the choice is kinda hard so many great artists...

But if I had to choose now... let it be him...

Unquestionable greatest polish blues singer...

Ryszard Riedel

Living? Not sure, they're all too old to have the edge they had back in the day..

I didn't believe I'll see the early original Sabbath line up and the 80's Sabbath line up with DIO and I saw them live four and two years ago, I'll have to think a lil bit more

Dead? I would love to hear what Jimmi Hendrix would be up to these days, even in his last days he had already a couple interesting projects and suggestions going on, I guess he would do incredible things with different co-players and projects.

Another one of those dead - Jeff Buckley, pretty impressive in his days if you ask me.

The jazz thing - many of those I would love to hear are dead, let's name Jaco Pastorius as an example..

The Beatles
Derek and the Dominoes
The Who (the original lineup with John Entwhistle and Keith Moon)

I was a huge fan of his father, Tim Buckley. He died from an overdose in 1975, in an apartment about two blocks from where I live.

Phallus Fondue 09-12-2009 05:27 PM

can not really call them a band but more of a movement in one spot during one period. louis armstrong, charlie parker, edward ellington, josephine baker, dizzy gillespie, and billie holiday.
