The Detroit Lions Are Going All The Way This Year!!!

I've been a huge Detroit fan ever since the Arizona Cardinals lost their first Superbowl and Detroit officially became the worst team in the NFL. I have a great feeling about them this year. They are going to go all the way! I can feel it! :thumbsup

RRACY 09-12-2009 05:05 AM

Matt Stafford...we'll see. Matt Millen was fired, right?

Sosa 09-12-2009 07:27 AM

ahahah thanks for that laugh! i needed it!

RRACY 09-12-2009 09:27 AM

Millen served as Lions' president and CEO from 2001 to 2008, going 31-84 in that stretch. He was bold enough to admit that he has himself to blame following the Lions' continued woes, including last year's disastrous 0-16 mark.

Millen made tens of millions in spite of having the worst record in NFL history. Under Millen, the Lions lost 63% of their games.

baddog 09-12-2009 09:43 AM

Very possibly. All they need is encouragement.

smack 09-12-2009 10:05 AM

i think you're going to be quite disappointed. especially october 11th when they come in to contact with the steel curtain. :)

steelers are going for 7 this year.

Nothing like making shitloads of money despite mediocrity. Wish we all were entitled to that luxury.

Hey, remember when the Steelers booked their plane tickets for the "greatest show on turf" and then got spanked by not "Tom who?" (at the time), but Drew Bledsoe?

That was fucking hilarious. I actually masturbated over that!

ProG 09-12-2009 09:48 PM

I wouldn't mind seeing the Lions get a break and have a good season like Miami did last year. No one is going to stop the Chargers this year - they already own the division before game 1.

Im not going to say that Detroit will win the division as they have Green Bay and Minnesota to deal with. But I will say they win 3-5 games .. which is a lot better than 0-16

The only thing I'm worried about this year is they aren't going to have that "underdog" feeling they usually get from starting the season 0-4. It's going to be all about Sproles and our WRs stepping it up. I don't have high hopes for LT

VeriSexy 09-12-2009 10:39 PM

I'd be surprised if they when more then 6 games

Me too. Winning six games would be a great improvement and mean they're on the right track at least. Going from winning no games to winning six games would be fine by me!

RRACY 09-13-2009 12:22 PM

Detroit has won one playoff since the inception of the Superbowl.:1orglaugh Erik Kramer, anyone?:thumbsup

stever 09-13-2009 01:26 PM

DavieVegas 09-13-2009 01:38 PM

smutnut 09-13-2009 01:50 PM

:1orglaugh You can still get in the playoffs with a 15 and 1 record!

Steelers lucked out last year when Brady went down. They won't have it that sweet this year.

GO PATS!

ToplistBlog_Com 09-14-2009 05:48 PM
