    Expired CA License - Drinking

    Today is my birthday, however today is also the day my license expires. I am going in on monday to get a new one however, I know tomorrow if i go out and drink and get carded they will refuse to serve me, however if i present my card today, is it still valid through the end of today or is it expired as of 12am this morning?

              I don't see how your license being expired should keep you from drinking.

              They require proof of age, not proof of "up to date papers"

              So fuck california.

                  in texas they require valid identification, expired= not valid. not sure what the time of day is re: expiration. i would call da club you plan to hit and ask their policy.

                      In most states to present an expired ID as proof of who you are and your age is a crime.

                                                      Sure for driving it makes sense, the police want an updated ID to make sure its a correct Address. But for the purpose of verifying AGE? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a valid birth date does not need 2 be updated.

                                                              california establishments are required to deny entry and sales of alcoholic beverages to persons presenting expired ids.

                                                                  It depends on the place and how they profile you. I had no problem getting into places in CA with an expired out-of-state license.
                                                                  History will be kind to me for I intend to write it.
