ADWORDS GURUS - help pls!

when creating a new ad im getting an error saying invalid url and i cant save the ad unless i change the destination url from my nats affiliate link to a standard base url like xyz .com

googles crack offshore indian support doesnt get and is replying with their templated anwsers so im looking here for some help.

the problem is when i put the url i supplied in the destination url field i get an error saying invalid url.

i dont want to change the destination url because the link im using is my affiliate link and if i change it and make it active i am wasting money and not getting paid for the clicks.

all that said anyone have an idea why my 'nats' affiliate link code cant be saved in destination url field?

good luck... I just requested another adwords rep because I have been getting the same template answers. I have a strip poker site and they are not approving my campaign because I do not have a gaming license... wtf.

If you cant use the affiliate link, then come up with another way to do it. Good luck.

destination TLD MUST be the same as the display TLD

they put this into effect a few months ago. sucks for advertisers that are affiliates of companies that use tracking systems where they can't display the right URL.

however, if your giving Google enough money, they will turn a blind eye :winkwink:

just put in a temp url and then put the url in a different destination URL field later and it worked. maybe just a bug in the initial ad setup section.

yea theres def ways around it and i could just use a redirect on one of my domains but would be nice to keep it straight forward.
