Deej,
I totally respect your position, and I wish it was that simple on my end, to where I could only employ citizens of my own country. But you're right, these are hard times, and the fact of the matter is that the majority of people I've employed in the past and currently cost about 25% of their equally skilled US counterpart. Furthermore, *most* foreign contractors/employees I've worked with have a vastly better work ethic than their American counterparts, many of whom really get under my skin by having this "I deserve" attitude, rather than a "I'm ready to prove myself and earn" attitude.
Thus, I do look forward to when I have the resources to be able to afford (and locate) more US based staff - but as it stands - in a "survival of the fittest" economy, what most US based workers are bringing to the table is simply impossible to choose against foreign options, without being a poor businessman.
Aside from that, I want you to know that I've looked at your work and I think you're an immensely talented person, who has a huge amount to offer anyone that hires you. When the right project comes my way, I'd really like to send some business your way as well.
I hope you can understand my position. :drinkup
