Curious - if tubes stealing content is legal for this upload law thingy then where are the hollywood movie tubes?

If the pirate bay is being sued for posting links to hollywood movie torrents, guess what happens when you stream the whole movie online. When a blockbuster comes online before the official release date, millions are lost, they can afford to spend a huge amount on lawyers...

Right on the money mainstream protects there content a lot better then our industry. The companies that protect there content still convert the ones that don't are converting horribly :(

Friend of mine was watching true blood streamed through megavideo a couple of weeks ago. I guess it's just as bad for mainstream really.

youtube is filled with "scenes" from movies just like any porn tube has "scenes" from porn movies, however, full lengths will always get taken down.

scenes are okay though... and people wonder why surfers like tubes?

a lot of people are uploading movies to rapidshare and megashare but they get deleted pretty fast. hollywood is definitely better at taking care of their own interests than the porn industry is.

Another point is that's it's probably easier for the mainstream companies to find their movies online. They're labeled by the name of the movie. All the scenes on porn tubes are titled "hot girl getting fucked, deep throat bj, hot lesbos....etc..."

in adult there are some companies that are doing a better job of it and are big enough that their content is generally not found on the tubes

just as one example Playboy has produced a ton of video content over the years, but try and find any of it on the major tubes.... it's not on there :2 cents:

Actually the hollywood movies have macro media/copy protection.

Since it's not illegal to download movies, but it is to share it...
Software has been treated different by the law, similar to crack copy protection on movies. Cracking that copy protection is NOT allowed.

Next to this, Hollywood studios use advanced 24/7 spiders, real time reports & automated DMCA's to search the entire web, p2p's, sites, tv-stations and boards to retrieve and report usage of movies to the rightful owners with software like I posted about the Philips technology in 2008 already. And they have more weight in lobbying with politicians.
