I get some responses to my sales threads linked to in sig a day or two after last bump, which is probably from sig link rather than people looking 2+ pages deep in Buy/Sell. So it does serve a purpose even if you don't have tens of thousands of posts.

Yes, mine does make money and others make money in theirs. I know this because I usually signup to sponsors via someone's sig. I don't use just anyone though, I usually find some non-douche I think deserves the money. Hell, I even contact them to just to see if they're an aff there so I can make them money.
It's dumb not to have SOMETHING in the sig. If it makes even one WM referral, than the money you gained is 100% profit.

i would suppose they do. i know i do not have one but i have clicked many other peoples signature links and banners.

to be perfectly honest if the poster who happens to have an interesting signature banner or link that goes to a program i am interested in joining is perceived to be a tool on here by myself, i will just type it in my browser.
