Why users don't buy memberships

Interesting poll on users board:
peachyforum(dot)com/forums/p/274221/820782.aspx
copy/paste url and replace (dot) with dot... (can't post urls)

Then I'm also wondering why the most sponsors doesn't give a shit about content posted everywhere...
about few weeks ago I've send info for some sponsors about their content being available on various tubes/rapidshare etc.
Most of them didn't even bother to reply.
Some of them replied that they "take a look" etc. But all the links are still functional...
For all those who wonder why SE ratio is above 1:1000 on sites where owners doesn't give a shit about content
and 1:100 on sites which content couldn't be found anywhere for free.

Would love to see some more polls like those on bigger boards... anyone?

:2 cents: trying to sell memberships to surfers that came from seo Google traffic is hard because if they came from google, they already know how to find most of what they are looking for free using google

I think every surfer heard about google and know (more or less) how to use it.

The problem is that under nearly every query there are tons of free stuff (warez boards/tubes) for some sites while others have hundrets of DMCA notices about removed urls.

But if currently SE is worst traffic then what is good?
TGP traffic is even worse for me. Blog traffic also.

you need to hire a company that does it on a mass scale and 30 flips who do the infiltration. We're doing a pretty good job of keeping our stuff protected. not perfect though.
One thing i noticed is that only the good stuff is stolen.
I will worry more when my stuff ISNT being pirated. Demand can tell you alot about your product.

Give it some time - I've posted it yesterday, will try to post on others also.
The problem isn't that this board is small, but that the users won't read, they are on the baord to get new porn for free :)

I agree that traffic from Google or the tubes is not very good traffic since the surfers are looking for free stuff and are cheap people
my experience is this: go and get traffic from people who already paid for a good porn/adult place where they have been loyal members or have found gratification for their impulses, if they opened their wallets once there they will probably do it again in your site or service if it is luring and provocative
this is the traffic that have worked for me for many years :-)
