Lifestyle Amateurs Monopoly tournament property sponsor auction ? snag a property!

Lifestyle Amateurs Monopoly tournament property sponsor auction

As announced in THIS THREAD

We will hold a tournament in Monopoly during Webmaster Access Europe in Amsterdam sept. 25-27th.

The tournament will be played on a Porn Industry Monopoly board

-each property will have a name and logo from our industry, example Camz avenue, ImLive Plaza
- each station will have a name from our industry
- each deed card will contain the same names
- each community chest and chance card will have custom text, example:

FBI 2257 inspection, loss of productivity pay
$40 per house
$115 per hotel

The boards will be printed by a printer and the touch, quality and feel will be like the original monopoly game.

Exposure of the game and your sponsorship of the game

There will be 21 games in the tournament. The winner of each game can keep the game afterwards.

That means 64 unique and 84 raw persons will spend time playing on the boards during the tournament.

After the tournament we will offer the boards for sale to everyone interested. We expect individuals will buy some games and also affiliate programs will buy games to use as gifts to their affiliates.

The game should become a collecters item and it will be fun to play for all involved in the adult industry as it will contain names and concepts that they can relate to.

Auction format and rules

We will auction the properties off in color groups and a station package.
So if you win an auction on a three property color group, you get 3 properties which you can decide the name and logo on. The deeds will have the same names.

The auction will end 2009-09-08 3pm PST. Any bids on an item in the last 10 minutes of the auction will open 30 minutes more for bidding on that particular item. Accepted payments are: Epassporte, Paypal, Wire transfer, extra payout on our account with you.

Payment shall be paid maximum 24 hours after the auction ends, else the next highest bidder will get the item.

Rules for bidding:
- Post bids as replies in this thread
- You have to bid $20 more than the last bid on a particular item
- In your first bid, include your contact details or email your GFY username and contact details to [email protected]

There's a company that makes the game for us, not sure what their arrangement is. Our arrangement is that we can order it and play the game.

I actually wasn't trying to be a dick at all I've just always been curious what the deal is with stuff like that. Sounds like a cool idea though and it's original too so bonus points there.

All good, I know what you meant.

I have seen customized Monopoly games, In N Out Burger has one that they give to their employees. So I'm sure it's "above board". lol

nation-x 09-02-2009 07:33 PM

I don't think anyone can use Monopoly in the actual name without licensing the trademark... and who knows... maybe the company that makes the games did for this purpose. :2 cents:

Eric 09-02-2009 10:20 PM

Rename the game to Pornopoly!

The name on the box and the middle will not be Monopoly.

The game play will be quite similar.

Thomas007 09-03-2009 02:30 AM

Mike Dutch from Ask Jolene came with a good point.

The stations should be traffic guys like askjolene, gts , choker and fpc.

Thomas007 09-03-2009 03:17 AM

We got a bid from an anonynous bidder

I want to bid $748 on

Item 4:

As you can see, there is still plenty of options for getting a property.
If we don't get the properties sold, we will rank programs in the industry by size in gross revenue we think they are doing and fill up the properties with them.

That means, all your competitors might be on the board and we might forget your program.
to avoid that, please get the bidding started.

It's gonna be fun. We'll cut off the rounds to 1 hour each, we know they can go much longer if we let it.

D-Money 09-04-2009 11:38 AM

Just wanted to remind people that we don't have many more days left before we go to print, so if you want to place a bid you might end up with a steal!

Imagine if we did this tournament at the coffee shop in Amsterdam, that would change the outcome!

It's actually 90 minutes playing time in the two first rounds.
150 minutes for the finale.

Awesome idea - I love Monopoly :thumbsup

IMO you should also take bids on Free Parking, Go, Jail, Go to Jail and even the logo on the Community Chest and Chance cards/spaces - assuming you aren't already using those for Lifestyle Amateurs or something. :2 cents:

Thank you.

It's actually a few years old. Inspired by the Porn Poker Tour.
Fred from Braincash helped fostering the idea.

Many people in the adult industry is entrapaneurs and have built of their own business.
In Monopoly you also build up your own empire with the goal to win over the other players.
