dont use Foam mattress. After using it a few months, it become a Bacteria bomb.

Get a matress with multilevel-springs in good quality.

Fletch XXX 09-02-2009 05:54 AM

yeah selling em off before the swine flu really gets in them LOL

shuki 09-02-2009 06:08 AM

I love my Tempurpedic so I would say yes def go get it. If you are concerned with bacteria growth get a dry vapor steam cleaner and use it on your bed and in your general house cleaning. They are the best!

Wolfy 09-02-2009 06:09 AM

2 nays and 1 yay.

Good start :thumbsup

shuki 09-02-2009 06:22 AM

When I gave my yay I may not have been enthusiastic enough. I am speaking for myself but it was the best choice I have ever made. My quality of sleep is amazing due to this bed. I will never sleep on anything else. I have a queen now and am going to get a king with the electric adjustable frame next.

I am convincing my parents to get one too

Porn Grounds 09-02-2009 06:41 AM

I have a foam with pillow top and it is the best sleep I have ever had.

pornguy 09-02-2009 06:45 AM

I have seen the EXACT same thing in Costco for 350$

I have a memory foam mattress that I enjoy quite a lot, but when it comes time to replace it, I think I'll go with latex foam.

Lace 09-02-2009 08:48 AM

I wouldn't believe those inflated "You save.." prices for a second.

haha, no shit. what in the world could have possibly made those worth $3500 in the first place. even $350 seems almost a bit high for some foam, imo. I don't have any experience with how good they can be, and that could change my opinion on cost... but c'mon... $3500? lol

Iron Fist 09-02-2009 09:04 AM

Who the fuck pays almost 4 grand for a bed anyways.... advertising shit like this has got to be illegal... why not say the bed is worth 10 grand?

I was thinking the same, my sister has one and loves it. I had to sleep in it one night and I didn't care for it tho.

Scott McD 09-02-2009 09:13 AM

I got one a few weeks back. Actually took me a while to get a good nights sleep on it, but now i love it!! :thumbsup

3xTom 09-02-2009 09:29 AM

Sleep Number all the way

gleem 09-02-2009 09:30 AM

I just sent back my tempur-pedic, after about 3 or 4 years of heavy usage (lots of sex) the thing turns into a fucking sponge, horrible, so I convinced them to replace on warrenty, and to my surprise they did.

So in about 3 or 4 years I'll have to buy a new bed, and it aint going to be a tempur-pedic... they are the worst for sex, and they make you hot as fuck laying in it.

seeandsee 09-02-2009 09:37 AM

sleep number is crap too, they have a dip in the middle where they try and plug it up with a foam separator between the two sides... they are crappy gimmics.

Again, tempurpedic if you don't mind hassling with the warranty claim every few years.

Wolfy 09-03-2009 05:18 AM

So far I got this:

Foam mattress fans and haters are pretty even at this point.
Nobody here has experience with this particular brand.
One person has had sex on a foam mattress and doesn't like it.
Sleep Number system has equal likers and dislikers.

So far, I've got... nothing. :P

A fool and his money are soon parted... I wouldn't believe everything you see on the internet. I bought on of those on a supposed steal and it was a piece of shit. Not only was it not the QUALITY foam used in the expensive beds within a week I was sleeping in a fucking hole.

I wouldn't do it

Well thats a deal breaker

CYF 09-03-2009 09:18 PM

I like the Heavenly bed :thumbsup

kaori 09-03-2009 09:30 PM

Yeah - you definitely can't compare tempurpedic to these cheaper ones...
I had a 'costco' version for a year... started off great, but seemed to 'harden' during the year... by the end, it was very uncomfortable....

ShellyCrash 09-03-2009 09:41 PM

This is what I rock, and it will save you some dough-

I've got a nice quality traditional matress, but on top of that I have a 2" thick memory foam pad and then I cover that with a pillow top matress pad. The pillow top matress pad keeps the foam nice and it's washable. I just trash the matress pad every year and a half to 2 years and pick up a new one for $60 or so. I've had the memory foam for 5 and it's still good.

Everyone loves the bed, in my circle it's known as "the most comfortable bed in the world". So much cheaper than buying a temperpedic.

The only downside is I have a king and sometimes getting the fitted sheet on when canging the sheets can be a bitch, but I buy traditional sheets and after some pushing and pulling I get it on there. Sometimes I need a little help ;)

tiger 09-03-2009 10:54 PM

Have one of the pillows made of that stuff. Very comfortable except for the fact that the material makes you sweat like a pig.

DateDoc 09-03-2009 10:57 PM

Never heard of that brand. Love my tempur-pedic. best bed I have ever slept on.

PurrrsianPussyKat 09-03-2009 11:01 PM

You realize that's just 4 pieces of foam, right? And it's for an RV or truck bed?

PurrrsianPussyKat 09-03-2009 11:03 PM

F-U-Jimmy 09-03-2009 11:04 PM

I had one in a spare room every one who slept on it said it made them sweat a lot. After 12 months i tossed it and got a good quality spring mattress.

My bed cost me well over 10 grand it has quality spring mattresses ( two or them ) its adjustable and it vibrates. Scares the shit out of girls when they first try it :thumbsup

SuckOnThis 09-03-2009 11:13 PM

I have one of those on top of our king size bed. It's the same exact one. I like it. But I like my bed to be soft and snuggly. I have the mattress, the 4" foam and a super thick, soft mattress pad on top of that. :)

gecko 09-04-2009 12:32 AM

I love my seahorse mattress

Wolfy 09-04-2009 05:34 AM

Thanks, wise GFY members. I'm going to pass on the cheap memory foam mattress.

I have a Kingsize pillowtop with the memory foam in it made by Serta. When you take a running leap into the bed you done even bounce... you still stop cold. It's a really weird feeling lol. For sex it horrible, because it gives no bounce back, if you do it doggy style you sink into the bed to much. It also "tap" all you energy because you have to do more work than normal.

For sleeping, back problems, it's great... (maybe because of the lack of sex?) Seriously though, I have a bad disk with a pinched nerve. Have had MRI's on it etc, the only correction is surgery. I got the bed after finding out about the MRI, and I was in so much pain at that point I was using a cane. (I was 32) I would be walking along and this "electric shock" pain would shoot down my legs, and I would have to literally sit down, no matter where I was. Point is, within 2 weeks of sleep on the new bed it all went away, and today, 10 years later, not a single issue with it at all.

So I bought a sex chair...
