What niche?

The biggest surfer forums with the most traffic are all about stolen content. If you are trying to sell a paysite membership off of one of those...good luck. I guess you could put up a dating or webcam ad on them.

I monitor some of the biggest ones in the world just keeping an eye out for our content, and those things are just page after page after page of torrent links. Pretty much every major programs' sites completely ripped.

I would suspect it would be kinda hard to sell a membership to a paysite to communities that are built around who can post the most links to stolen content. :(

I actively try to keep everything posted in my forum legit.
Torrent and rapidshare links are deleted and the users get banned. :thumbsup

Yes it's total bullshit. Christy Marks SHOULD be selling like hot cakes She is one of the hottest looking, best fucking bitches to come out. And yet, she's pirated everywhere. It really, really sucks. 3 years ago that would be a million dollar a year paysite. In 2009 it's a miracle that anybody can make a sale on any paysite anymore.

I was at The Red Rooster swingers club here in Vegas last weekend doing...er...research! And I'm standing at the bar drinking a beer and watching naked housewives packing the dance floor doing the "electric slide" heh-heh.

I hate to be "that guy", but I no longer care anymore when it comes to how I make money. When you have Playboy, Score Cash, and Fuck You Cash all taking that traffic, and never emailing back when inquiries were sent, then it just goes to show you that it truly is "every man for himself" now. If they don't care, then neither will I, and I will make money any way I see fit.

What's sad is the trickle down effect this is producing. I have an offer from The Lion's Den, a big Midwest chain of adult bookstores, to come in and run 4 of their stores to start, with another 4 coming in a few months. I wanted to take it seriously, but when they discussed money it just wasn't going to be possible. Because every DVD and magazine is available online they can't give either away, and their entire chain is in trouble. A business that was recession proof is now a burning turd that needs to be flushed...

It's the very effect of turning a blind eye to every thief out there and thinking there will always be enough buyers to go around and that the adult industry is recession proof. Now they HAVE to take just about anyone's traffic, if they want to survive, 'cause the economy will be kicking their asses big time otherwise. Sure, they'll come in here and say it's not so, but you don't need a Ph.D. degree in rocket science to see the truth.

It's just really sad that it's come to that, but I'm adjusting what I do and I'm not going to feel guilty about it one bit. I always bought tube traffic in the past, and I did well with it for what I was sending it to, but I also resisted having my own tube site or file sharing forum or blog. But now I see kids on pornbb with blogs that are only a few months old getting insane traffic numbers, and I'm seeing affiliate banners on those blogs that I never would have expected. So now, as far as I'm concerned, the gloves are off...
