Oh man these kids did a great job. I gotta show some hometown love for the team from Chula Vista Ca. for beating Taiwan today 6-3!! Way to go guys enjoy this molment. :thumbsup:thumbsup

SWEET! I didn't realize they were playing that today and it was only 1 game...holy shit! And who was it they just obliterated yesterday or day before? Georgia? 9 runs in 1st inning FTW. Damn, nice to see something in sports to cheer about here. :)

Just when I thought that baseball was already the most boring sport in the whole World you go and get excited about kids playing it. Americans are funny.

It could be hopscotch for all I care...just nice to see something in San Diego being the best in the world. We haven't had anything to cheer about in sports in a looong time.

They play that about 1/2 hr from me. It's been all over the news lately. Grats to these kids. I'm sure they played their hearts out!!

LOL....yeah the Padres haven't given us a baseball title in how long? I just hope the new owners can turn the team around and put some money into the players.

If title = winning the World Series, that'd be never. If title in NFL = winning the Super Bowl, Chargers too have never done it. Sure Padres have won a couple pennants and Chargers have won a couple conferences, but cmon - both teams have had more capability to win it all than a lot of teams have ever been able to muster and they can barely ever reach the title games/series let alone get it done. :( On a good note, it looks like the Pads have a lot of strong young players that can hit the ball, so maybe in the next couple years we can at least return to the World Series.

So yes, definitely a refreshing site to see some little leaguers kick some ass. The game they played before this World Series title game was hilarious (against Georgia or somebody, I forget) - during the news they updated the score in the 1st inning 3 times! Little brats couldn't stop scoring, lol. :thumbsup

The US Championship was against San Antonio and they dominated that team like they did ALMOST every other team out there. The only team to give the Chula Vista team any trouble was the team from Georgia who only lost by a single run. The US Semi Finals was definitely the two best teams in the tournament...and even though I am from Georgia and a big fan, I admit that the best team won. Those boys from Chula Vista are amazing ball players and should be congratulated.

I watch the entire series (even regional semi's) each year. Chula Vista did a great job, congrats to them.
