Just a TAD pricey at $3,000, but surely that'll go down over time. I was wondering when companies would start to do stuff like this to take away the screen space disadvantage of mobile computing. Surely handheld devices will be next if they're not already around (I'm no gizmo guy so I have no idea).

Well it's from some Alaskan company (god, everytime I see Alaska I'm going to think of retarded Palin). Surely whenever a major manufacturer catches on and does one of these, it'll be sleeker, lighter, and probably run for a decent time on battery. Would be nice for more screen space esp if your office monitor is big (I use a 32" LCD TV for mine so 15" in comparison feels tiny).

If my memory serves me correctly a while back they patented a touchscreen surface where the keyboard/trackpad normally go. Maybe unfolding two touchscreen surfaces is the future?

I saw this on EnGadget. I think it's probably pretty pointless, unless you want a portable editing platform... that doesn't perform all that well.

Touch pad = total loss of productivity dual screens provides.

Meaning two screens on a laptop ...... Utterly Pointless.

Those of us that use dual screens everyday would love this on our laptops. I always feel handicapped working on my laptop compared to my dual screen desktops. :2 cents:
