Mexico legalizes drugs!
No dreadlocked revelers smoked celebratory reefers in the streets, no armies of conservatives protested, the Mexican media raised no hullabaloo. Quietly and with little ado, Mexico last week enacted a law to decriminalize possession of small amounts of all major narcotics, including marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and crystal meth. Anyone caught in Mexico with two or three joints or about four lines of cocaine can no longer be arrested, fined or imprisoned. However, police will give them the address of the nearest rehab clinic and advise them to get clean.

decrim is not legalization. however, it is a good start.

what to do in country with minimum of education and full of drug wars
|
butt that would mean less killings, and that would increase population..
:upsidedow |
They just need better looking girls and I'm there...

there's a good and a bad side to this.
Good: once this law is 100% accepted, pharmacies may start selling drugs in small amounts, which will get rid of the small dealers. This will cut back on street corner killings and little vendettas. Bad: small-time dealers won't be put in jail (while they're still around and peddling); in addition to this, people will use drugs more openly and driving under their influence. |

weed has been decrimmed in california for over 30 years, dealers are still arrsted, has nothing to do with "dealers wont be put in jail" - it only applies to "small amounts of possession" - translated: nothing really changes except the jails are overcrowded. However, your idea that if we decrim that means more will do drugs is absurd. California has been decrim for over 30 years and the stats show that access to drugs does NOT increase the use their of. Thats like saying because alcohol is legal, everyone drinks, not the case. Legalization or decriminalization does not increase drug use. In fact, Cali has seen DECREASE in teen marijuana use after medical marijuana laws have been passed. :) |
you're a couple days late on this:

well yeah... lets get excited about new drug laws in a failed state run by narco terrorists as if its relevant to anything or somehow some indication of progressiveness.
makes perfect sense. oh wait... making small amounts legal increases sales for those who sell large amounts. |

Thats great for Mexicans, governments need to learn being far from sheep herding mentality, this law has some bugs though :)
Edit: i don't do drugs but what i believe is, Governments should stop deciding instead of adult peeps for what to do or not, i don't think a group of deputies smarter then whole population. |
"why were you over the border?"
"whats a border mister talking cactus with a rainbow hat?" "fuck" |
its only a matter of time before they make weed legal in the united states, that would be the business to get into, a pot farmer :2 cents:
