Probably the disease factor? We can argue how clean and safe they are etc but lets face it, problems happen and if she is banging a few guys a night the chances are she has or will catch something.

I can't speak for women, but I can see their perspective.

It's gross to have sex with women that are straight forward about what they want in exchange for sex. Money. That's just gross, and un-lady-like.

Women who dance around this topic, get the guy to buy their shoes, their movie tickets, their groceries, and eventually pay them to sit around on their fat ass, cook a TV dinner for you and wave a duster at the bookshelf once a day are much more "acceptable".

Most women I know do not think it is gross, but I think a lot of them (sex workers included) do not understand that the paycheck is often not to have the sex, but to leave after it.

I don't really care because hookups are the same thing-sleeping with someone for mutual pleasure, much like a prostitute. I mean, you can get a disease from anyone but the fact that someone has sex all day for money in probably risky circumstances is the problem. At least porn is monitored and regulated and people are screened for STDS (although this not a perfect system by far, as we saw from June's HIV scare.)

Personally I do find it sad that if someone needs to pay another for sex does show a sign of desperation in that they are unable or unwilling to put any effort into a real girl.
