mac vrs. pc graphics? is there a difference?

mrthumbs 12-06-2002 10:31 PM

yeah, wondering the same.

photoshop = photoshop

Seems odd...

Actually it's pretty easy to spot pc graphic designers if they don't know how to use the color management settings in photoshop. There's a colorshift. IF you are a good PC designer, yes it's impossible to tell.

Doesn't make a difference though, this project NEEDS to be done on a mac by a mac designer, cause it's a mac site, and I want the person to be into what he's doing, not another PC guy rolling his eyes at another design job to pay for his windoze fixit utilities and hardware replacements. :thefinger

Seems pretty simple. Using a PC designer for a mac evangelism site would be stupid. After all, we get to hear every couple of weeks of a Microsoft or Intel ad campaign designed on macs. (The best is when MS advertises the functions of their OS, and they have Windows XP or whatever running on what is clearly a Mac, just superimposed onto the screen.) Nothing wrong with consistency.

meh.. ad agencies still have a tendency to use macs.. it's an outsourced thing microsoft has no control over.. a bit of a non issue. no way you'd got many PC dudes doing a mac evangelist site anyways :)

*Shush* Ian the fewer webmasters using Macs the better for us:-) Like 99% of my workload is Applescripted LOL. Not to mention things like going 5 years and never coming across a single virus or security problem that had to be patched:-)

Damn, no one emailed. Anyone, Mac, designer...cmon??

I just saw an ad for CompUsa in one of their mailings, their flagship PC was on sale, and if you look at the screen it's running OSX! LOL!:1orglaugh
