Inglourious Basterds

I thought it was awesome.

Mr. Billy 08-25-2009 01:27 AM

I want to see it. The posts on the board about it are interesting.

I loved Pulp Fiction.

I will probably watch Death Proof this week.

I just watched Planet Terror which he did not direct but had Tarantino in it.

For the last few years I have not seen alot of movies, so now I check out vids from the local library system here for free. I don't need the newest releases and if you can get to some of the different branches you can get quite a selection. It's perfect for catching up on some of the films I've missed.

John-ACWM 08-25-2009 03:35 AM

I think it has to be awesome, didn't see it yet.

Phallus Fondue 08-25-2009 03:52 AM

i always find him hit and miss. he is very much like what i think of as a star trek the movie series director. hit, miss, hit, miss, etc.
loved resevoir dogs, and jackie brown.
disliked kill bill 1 and 2.
really felt pulp fiction was beyond over rated and was really piss poor minus a few bouts of dialogue.
true romance was not bad but since he did not direct, same with natural born killers and from dusk to dawn so i do not give him full credit for them.
his half of grindhouse was a hit.

still find it funny he turned down both speed and men in black to do that wallop of a piece of shit pulp fiction.

LadyMischief 08-25-2009 06:59 AM

I loved Inglorious Basterds. Very Tarantino-style ending.

tranza 08-25-2009 07:03 AM

X37375787 08-25-2009 07:21 AM

Being fluent in German definitely helps to enjoy the movie, considering that long parts of the dialogue are in German.

Scott McD 08-25-2009 07:22 AM

Since i'm not sure whether i'll like it or not, i'm just gonna wait till it comes out on DVD or something.

I hate sitting in the cinema watching something i'm not enjoying...

SykkBoy 08-25-2009 08:48 AM

I really liked it.
Christoph Waltz was excellent and Brad Pitt was a hoot.

The more I sit and think about little nuances of it, the more I realize I need to see it again

bronco67 08-25-2009 09:21 AM

The tavern scene....

Scene of the decade. Just fucking masterful, and I wish it could have been 20 minutes longer.

MadisonMadness 08-25-2009 09:37 AM

awesome movie. waltz deserves an oscar right now. the new "pulp fiction", and thats a good thing (to all you haters). q rules.

MaDalton 08-25-2009 10:06 AM

i'm happy for Christoph Waltz - he's been always a great actor but now he finally gets his well deserved international attention

PlugRush Sascha 08-25-2009 12:37 PM

Loch 08-25-2009 02:02 PM

I loved that scene as well as the scene with the french dairy farmer...
both amazing scenes...and of course...the ordering a strudel scene...

so many great scenes in this flick...

Supz 08-25-2009 03:51 PM

Someone else mentioned these points. The dialog was very good, but very long, the great & CRAZY violence was few and far between. It would have been much better in 2 hours. It would have been a GREAT 2 hour movie. The extra 30 minutes of dialog was a little to much.

Death Proof was an awesome movie :2 cents: I really like Tarentino movies.

naughtyjc 08-25-2009 04:08 PM

beta-tester 08-31-2009 07:37 PM

i saw it the other day. It really has no story at all, but it is hilarious so much :)

oh and Brad's tennessean accent was awesome :)) lol

FreeHugeMovies 08-31-2009 09:07 PM

Spunky 08-31-2009 09:19 PM

sandman! 08-31-2009 09:23 PM

no one else i know saw it yet....

FrozenJag 09-01-2009 12:02 AM

I thought it was retarded personally.

benwillems3 09-01-2009 12:09 AM

misleading trailer. All the things you could see in the trailer were parts of the first chapter.
The film was good but not what i expected.

flashfire 09-01-2009 01:09 AM

I've heard good and bad things...will have to see for myself

Same here...

thunder99 09-01-2009 02:26 AM

Saw it last night and it's was the biggest load of crap ever.

Tarintino hasn't made a good film since Pulp Fiction.

munki 09-01-2009 02:29 AM

I think I need to see it 1-2 more times to fully wrap my head around it...

miroz 09-01-2009 07:41 AM

good ironic movie

CamTraffic 09-01-2009 07:58 AM

Loved it!
Whoever said the sound track was similar as Kill Bill needs to get shot

Denaz 09-01-2009 08:12 AM

This movie was amazing. The movie is a little over 2 hours long but you don't even notice. Great film worth seeing. :thumbsup

Far-L 09-01-2009 01:56 PM

Just the fact that people either love it or hate should tell you all you need to know. All great works of art should polarize opinions so strongly.

The Ghost 09-01-2009 01:59 PM

Just back from it and thought it was great. Kept me interested/amused the entire time and didn't seem like 2 1/2 hours at all.
