It's what Vista was supposed to be.

And not even that. They had huge plans for Windows 7, then fucked it up and had to release this 'vista' crap. Now they finally release Windows 7 and its still not what they originally had planned.

Just stick to xp!

Windows 7 is fantastic... My favorite OS!

And I use OS X, Debian and Fedora, and of course every other flavor of windows previous to 7 (except for Vista as it was horrible).

I highly recommend Windows 7 it's vastly superior to its predecessors ;)

I'm using 7 RC here on my workstation, works great, specially the 64bit version. I'm loving the new taskbar btw. Highly Recommended!

I like it so far. Wish I had more time to play with it.

I'm very happy with it. Moved from XP, never used vista. Fast and stable.

did u guys upgrade from ur main xp installation to RC1 Win 7? or did u guys buy another hard drive (or made another partition) to test this out?

I think RC1 expires somewhere next year however, will we be able to just enter a valid license and get it running without having to reinstall the entire thing and losing data in the process?

You can't upgrade, can only do a fresh install I believe.

I run it off my laptop and it seems alright, still has software incompatibility issues which sucks, for example it can't run norton antivirus, which I thought was strange.

I'm running the 64-bit RTM version of 7 Ultimate and works fine. I don't see a huge difference from Vista though, which always worked fine for me.
