What wordpress plugin could you use, thats not already made?

Need some input what other people need/want.

One that drives millions of unique visitors to my blog automatically. No wait, billions.

Okay, this may be stupid, so don't laugh at me. I know there is a way out there to do it, but I don't know what it is.

I would like a plugin that allows me to designate one blog as my 'main' blog, and to 'register' my other blogs within the main one.

Then when it was time to upgrade WP, I could update all the 'registered' ones from my main one with a single click.

That sounds a little tough for a plugin :<

I use wp auto installer/upgrader its a very easy tool to upgrade 100's of blogs with a click.

Hmm, a reciprocal link checker for a specific category of links that will optionally disable and send an email or something if a link is dropped.

An automated hard link selling plugin. "Buy this link" - click - pay (paypal IPN?) - link is up and running. A version of this for 125x125 buttons too maybe.

A top referral list plugin, with whitelist ability rather than blacklist. The admin must approve a domain/site before it starts showing up.

I use something along that line, but I still have to log in each blog to do it. I will try to find what you use, thanks much mr. fris!!!

plugin that bumps the timestamp up a day for a all posts every 24hours, so the blog looks updated daily recently, without actually being updated. not a lazyblogger or post rotator. posts must stay in same order.

There is only one plugin that does it right but it does not have options to embed the flash variables.

A plugin that allow me to have a disclaimer on mysite.com which leads to mysite.com/anotherpage.html (main WP index)

Fris, similiar to that sports deal you showed me last week except something that would also give me the option to just pull in text and autoupdate the blog of possible.

I brought this up in another forum.

We need a plug in that lets you update all your blogs on different domains, subdomains, hosts and servers with one click from one blog. And something for plug ins would be even better.

Heard mu can do this and everyone will be doing that sooner or later, but don't see that from my end. If this exists already please let me know.

Follow and No Follow options for post links, blogroll, tag links, category links, etc.

Plugin in that SEMI-automates forum posting related to the blog post you just published... It can't be fully automated but semi-automation by popping up pre-logged in "make new thread" windows would really eliminate many manual steps. Copy and paste the URL with keyword specific description (and add fresh text to avoid dupe content penalties).

Depending on your niche (mainstream or adult), forum viralization can drive nice traffic.

i use this and have forever, but it doesnt always apply the tag like its suppose to.

it already exists, it's called WPMU, and it's not a plugin, it's a full WP engine :thumbsup

that's extremely easy to do with no plugins at all. However, I'd like to see virtual WP directories converted to REAL directories, that would be what I'd like to see in terms of plugins :) Also, some kind of FFMPEG manager to edit videos "on the fly" :)

by default wordpress allows

domain.com/search/search+result
domain.com/search/search_result

would be a small template hack to change it to what you want.

i would like one that people can add there site to automaticly. a bit like linkex, but can detect if after a few days no hits have been sent and removes them.

so mabe a sort of top list site thing.

so it would be a widget i guess.

A plugin that allows me to have the blog post look exactly like I want it to. Last time I used WP even a simple break was complicated ... I tried <br> and < /br> and other variations but couldn't get the spacing I wanted ...

You can manage that by editing the CSS, but I understand it might be complicated if you don't know how to do it...

Yeah ... I'm not sure how to do that .. what exactly do you need to do? I can sort of understand CSS ....

A thumb cropper. Would be nice to have a image cropper like TGP's use, that would let you crop the image from a url then add a link to the gallery or url of choice.

open up your search.php template in your theme directory and edit the line what spits out the content to put bold.

Problem I have with most custom plug-ins I have purchased this past year is that they were not designed for busy sites, they seem to have been designed for sites that get a few hundred hits a day and go to shit on a busy blog
