the lyrics to this one are hilarious and I think it is kind of an a true story as told/sung by the late EL DUCE

Dig up El Duce and Sicky Wifebeater!!

Song of the moment is Moonspell Opium. But something tells me that I'm going to go digging for Golden Shower (the song)

New song of the moment while I slowly drunken type Static-X, I'm With Stupid

one cool bit of Mentors trivia is that Courtney Love references the Sandwich of Love song in her hit with HOLE called Violet she sings "I'm the one with no soul, one above and one below!" I really found that extremely cool of Courtney Love when I heard that

I just listened through Wisconsin Death Trip the other day for probably the first time in 3 or 4 years. Still kicks ass.

Got some Suicidal Tendencies going now, listening to Get Sick, probably gonna let the ST play for a while...

Stoned and bored, no ambition to do anything productive right now...

d-null 08-22-2009 11:34 PM

Honestly, Trip At The Brain was the song on before the song on now.

Currently its Kix (fuck you, some great live shows that even a troll like myself could get some snatch) Yeah Yeah Yeah. If you grew up in NY and went to the shore you can relate.

Strangely the first time I saw Harley and the Cro-Mags was a show at the Beacon Theater where they opened for Metal Church and Anthrax. Go figure.

I used to play them all the time on my show at Fordham University before they kicked me off.

Song of the shuffle moment is Saigon Kick, God Of 42nd Street. (I can't make this shit up)

d-null 08-23-2009 12:07 AM

I saw Metal Church play live years ago, must have been early 90's if I remember right, they were great in their early albums

d-null 08-23-2009 12:10 AM

listened to this tape a thousand times back then, probably late eighties

Other than Highway Star, this was such a killer album. If you weren't blown away by Metal Church, Beyond The Black and Gods Of Wrath, then you really did not have a clue about good metal.

d-null 08-23-2009 03:30 PM

here is another one that should be mentioned as an important metal crossover band of the time, they were amazing with their Animosity album and unfortunately went downhill from there, but that was a huge album in the genre and is a must listen for anyone that needs to brush up on their music history
