Use old beer to fuel your car
http://www.latimes.com/business/la-f...,6333918.story
The MicroFueler makes ethanol out of organic waste in minutes. It can be installed at individual homes, and companies are eager to supply owners with garbage. Nice video of Shaq using bioethanol, too. Now comes the key question: does your household produce enough waste to meet your fuel needs? Won't work too well for busy couples or single dudes who eat out a lot. |
Actually, they deliver the feed fuel to your homebased still and bill you everytime you fill up.
Cost: $5K plus $2 per gallon. Total setup is $10 minus $5K government subsidy. So $5 initial cost. |
that is pretty sweet. curious how much the alcohol license and the grid buster is. especially the grid buster since it can produce 23kwh per gallon. thinking the average household uses about 9k kwh a year and it is legal to make up to 10k gallons of alcohol fuel which is near 2.5 times what the average house needs in electricity.

Sierra Nevada is using these to make ethanol from waste at their brewery.

Interesting....
|
Isn't it funny how the price of something that is covered by a government rebate is almost always... the exact amount of the rebate.
|
So they actually DELIVER waste TO you! :1orglaugh
