New PETA add..
A new ad campaign, which recently launched in Jacksonville, takes aim at overweight people in about as direct a way as you can. A huge billboard in the city reads, "Save the Whales. Lose The Blubber. Go Vegetarian." Next to the words is a pretty large woman, who looks to be about a biscuit away from becoming a whale dressed in a polka-dot bikini.
I think it's fucked up. :Oh crap:Oh crap:Oh crap:Oh crap Link http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local-b...-53504377.html |
i dont think it's bad, some people need a wakeup call, overweight people should not be overweight, i was like 50 pounds overweight once and what did i do to lose it? I WORKED OUT.
it took me less than 6 months and was easy as fuck. i have no respect for people who cant drop the pounds, anyone can do it. i wanted to post in this thread before fletch and cherrypoola come in and start to tell everyone how they are so perfect and how we should live our lives like them. |

On a side note, anyone here ever try whale meat? Maybe a nice whale steak?
Being a seafood lover, I'm curious. |

I feel fat. I think I will eat a pizza to make myself feel better.

LOL...
"A biscuit away from becoming a whale...." That made me giggle. |
It's going to be interesting to see what, if any ads, PETA runs here in the Philadelphia area regarding newly signed Eagles player, sadistic dog torturer, Michael Vick.
|
thats funny I dated a girl who was 350 and was a lifelong veggie person.
|
American SHOULD be targeting fatties.. have you looked around lately? Nothing wrong with telling fat people they need to get off their asses and lose some weight!
And going vege is def one of the effective and healthy ways to lose weight.. so I don't see what the problem is? Que BadDog dissin PETA and vegetarianism in 3...2.... edit:was gna add a pic of the fat women w "boobs on her back" from another thread but my server is acting up :( |

A lot of veggie people are fat. They tend to eat a lot of rice, pasta's and bread. If people choose to eat meat that is their own business. Nothing worse then veggie people always trying to tell you to not eat meat. :2 cents: |

But I do have a FAT LITTLE PUSSY my customers like to tell me all of the time.. one guy always says "look at that fat little hamburger pussy pie!" LOL |
Wasn't there some sort of study released recently blaming big people for environmental degradation?

why save the whales anyways. if people would stop being all emotional about food and checked some facts for once they would see that the minke whale can be sustainably hunted for food. it would actually benefit humans that do not consume whale meat since whales eat more than 6 times the fish that humans consume and that the minke is responsible for the bulk of it.
|
Nothing they do surprises me. On a side note I hate it when 300+ pounders wear spandex or bikinis...

I'm all for shaming fat people, but I don't agree with PETA that vegetarianism is the way to go. Lifting weights, exercising and eating a balanced omnivorous diet comprised of lean meats, vegetables, fruits and some healthy grains & starches is a lot better for staying healthy, fit, while simultaneously enjoying your food and life. I'm all for PETA breaking dog torturer Michael Vicks chops too, even though I consume hundreds of chickens, tuna, turkeys and probably a whole cow personally each year. Killing animals for fun or sport makes him a danger to other humans. The majority of us who consume animals for sustenance treat our domestic animals with care or even love and derive no pleasure from the far removed necessary slaughter of the animals that make up our food.

No it isn't. I have friends that are veggies. They eat a lot of pasta's, rice, bread and fish. Interesting that killing an animal for meat is cruel but eating fish is ok. A fish was once a living breathing creature. Just because you do not eat meat does not mean you are going to be thin. :thumbsup |

I have a real problem with Peta's tactics of conveying their message. Throwing paint and eggs and whatever at people who wear fur? I don't personally agree with fur but really, that's just plain ridiculous.
I see no problem with what they are trying to promote-vegetarianism and prevention of animal cruelty- but I find their methods obnoxious, insulting and totally isolating. I think they should really grow up and learn some maturity-because going around throwing stuff at people is simply...vigilante justice. |

1) Anyone wearing fur deserves to die.. slowly 2) Throwing eggs and paint at these idiots are an easy/cheap way to get the medias attention - to they do it because it works.. The next time you buy one of those jackets with fur in the top there's a pretty good chance that they were made this way : https://youtube.com/watch?v=bMmHyEc4Srw |
Don't do business with fat people, they are lazy.
