Which stocks are good to buy long term during this "econmic worldwide crisis"?

We already got Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac .. and we're right now up 107.08% and 188.49% with those..

Which other stocks have been hammered way down right now but should see some serious increased when this crisis is over?

REITs have pretty good yields now a days, they should do well when the economy recovers, and on top of that you will earn nice dividends along the way... something like VNQ or ICF... :thumbsup

bumped up

My current spec plays are SIRI and C. I'm already up quite a bit, but I still think they have three figure % growth left in them. Also have Freddie, Fannie and buying all the above with options calls as well.

long term I would shoot for alternative energy companies. they're growth will be slow but in a few years you will make a good return.

currently ive been buying stock in cellular companies. Sprints 4G network will be huge when it comes out full boat, and Verizon will unleash a 4G network soon as well.

i bought into a few casino and gambling companies and made a decent return in the past few months. when the economy was really down back in June i picked up a few that went up 20-30% or more in the past month.

how about IT factory?

Freddie and Fanny up 41% and 23% today. I love waking up to those stats.

Keep it simple. The answer to that is all around you. When you go to the grocery store what is in your basket? What is in the basket of the people/person next to you. if you own a car how many times have you fueled up in the past month. People maybe traveling less but they still need to get to work. If you don't own and take mass transit those buses, subways, trains, etc. have to run on diesel, electric, bio-fuel, natural gas, etc. Think of some of things you and your friends can't live comfortably without. Those companies are at a pretty good buy. The stock market downturns seem to be the only sales everyone runs away from. Warren Buffet “Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful”.

Just FYI freddie and fanny are shorts

Foreign stocks, before we know it all those big companies will be government owned and then forced to liquidate before filing bankruptcy. FNM, FME and AIG are good for short term, but keep an eye on them. The moment they start to dwindle again, I sell.
