Parents with Children under 12 Need a Digital camera for my son

He loves mine and wants to use it, but I dont like that idea of handing him a 20D and saying here go play. he is only 4..

Has anyone purchased one of the ones for kids and how well did it work.. If you have a ref code, post it as we will most likely by him one for xmas.

Ok, simple answer to this one.

Goto ebay and buy a used Cannon powershot s400 for like 25 bucks, or even a s500 for 40-50 bucks. Let him beat it up and at lest you'll have a chance of actually getting a good picture or two while he has fun with it. The kids cameras while indestructible, take worthless pictures and eat batteries. The kids cameras cost 45-50 or more, so going the used powershot path isn't going to be any different in price, but you'll actually SAVE a ton with what you would have spent on the batteries.Trust me... I have already been down this road with my 3 year old Daughter. :)

That would be better than the kid ones they sell... remember, it's going to be destroyed anyways, so hand him something that you don't care about :)
