Sharpening of images
Hi,
I've seen on quite a lot of tgps they seem to blur the image (a bit like smart blur in PS), but at the same time it looks quite sharp. anyone know what sort of settings these use (using imagemagick, gd etc)? I take it they're generally done automatically, not manually... whenever i find a setting that looks nice for once photo, a different photo just looks crap with those settings |
Use one of these... Chuck Norris would...

Are you sure they are not just shot like that? crisp foreground, with blurred background done using a "fast" lens?

Imagenomic portraiture FTW.

I meant more something that i could automate on a *nix machine. Preferably in php.
For example, the thumbs on this site (just a random tgp i found) http://www.teenport.com/ example of one compared to its full size image original: http://www.teenport.com/galleries/only-carla/48/11.html http://www.teenport.com/galleries/only-carla/48/11.jpg thumb: http://78.140.136.196/tp/st/thumbs/025/1361236893.jpg http://78.140.136.196/tp/st/thumbs/025/1361236893.jpg It is like it has been airbrushed a bit, any one know what has actually been done to it? I see it on a lot of tgps |
