Mainstream Logo Contest
 

Hey guys Im working on a site for a buddy of mine I need a new logo made for a Cellular Refurbishing Company, The name of the Company is

Cell It Like New

The logo should resemble a Broken phone and a repaired phone(same phone of course)
Can be a cartoonish looking phone or a real phone if you want.

The contest will go on until Thursday 5pm where I will then pick a winner if he likes any of the logos, If there are good ones in the right direction I will tell you what to change for a chance to win.

The winner will recieve $75 and the runner up will get $25

$75 for the winner is an insult imo

I am sure he will find someone that needs the money.

Im sure there are designers who have free time and can use 75 if you think its an insult then dont submit any enteries, Sorry, thats what the client wants to pay.

Oh i'm sure there are designers that will do it... but expecting good designers to enter a contest for $75 is ridiculous. Make it $275 and you'll have a flood of great logos to pick from. :2 cents:

Go to DP and offer $75 and you will get TONS of people to throw logos at you.

Since there's only one entry, does he win $100?

No because if that one entry doesnt get picked as a winner then noone wins and I take the contest to another board

not to be an asshat, but you should tell beforehand that if there's not enough entries you move the contest to another board.. my 2cents. ..i hereby withdraw my entry.

See now this is looking good, i will GO AHEAD and extend this contest till next week wed to give other designers time

funny thread... you post a contest and didn't like the entries at first so you were going to just take it down?

If a designer DOESNT want $75 then stay out of the thread, lots of designers can use $75 and are not all millionaires like all these other GFY desginers. If you DONT Like the thread or the prize then stay out

I think Pete has a valid point.

If people have (a little bit) time off - why they couldn't enter? It has nothing to do with insulting designers.

Okay, Pete his buddy is on a budget, but so what? Entering contests like these are an easy way to showcase your work, and possibly get more work from other people by doing so.
