How hard is it to get 500 members?
 

Newb here; for a site that features exclusives, with a decent "standard" niche (lets say facials) is 500 members an impossible figure? Most of the sites here for sale seem to have 100 - 200. I apologize for the newb question, I couldn't find "porn website membership for Dummies" at Barnes & Noble.

Nothing is impossible. To achieve that # you will just have to work hard. Nothing comes easy, but it's not impossible.

man for one site i dont think its possible to get 500 active members ... there are few programs doing few thousands active but the rest is about hundreds and most under 500 ... imho from as far i can see :2 cents:

If you can pull 5 sales a day, and hold a 40% rebill rate... You should be able to achieve a 500 members within a year.

But you'll have to send at least 5000 targeted hits a day to your paysite.

Your question is a bit off. You want to know how hard it is to GET 500 active members, or how hard it is to KEEP 500 active members?

Getting 500 members is childs play. Keep throwing traffic at it til 500 people stick to it.

KEEPING 500 members active is tough. I really look forward to the day we break 500 active members, wow won't that be a party!

getting 500members in the long-haul is easy, if you put in the required work.

you will most definately need a social facial community to attain such high numbers

if your site converts at 1:1000 you need to send half million hits month. Thats not easy but it can be done. the question is how many hits do you need to your network to send a paysite 500k hits month. But also 500k hits month is less than 20k hits per day to your paysite. But you have to make sure its a pay site that is going to convert at 1:1000 ratio. at least from the traffic source. Just some stuff for the new guys to think about. There are so many factors that play into this its tough to give a really good answer.

I have seen some FHG that pull 5% click thru rate. so if you send your fhg 1 million hits to your fhg 5% ctr to site. thats 50,000 hits to the site. if its 1:1000 ratio you have 50 signups so your almost there. 500 signups. 10 million fhg hits.

Keeping only 500 active members? Hmmm... I didn't think it would be that difficult?

You realize how huge of an industry porn is $$ wise right? And somehow in this huge industry there's only "a few programs" with a few thousand members? And there's only a few poker sites with a few thousand members too I'm sure. :1orglaugh
