Trillian Suck - alternatives????
 

Help me....

I used Trillian but due to the suckage you also experienced I changed over to Miranda. It has problems of its own but its on a much smaller scale then Trillian.

Can't believe I'm about to say this...

Trillian's been pretty good to me until recently. Had to do a few patches and now my ICQ log files aren't saving. :( Bust. I'll check out Miranda

Pidgin is what you want.

I upgraded Trillian to the latest ASTRA version and it seems pretty good actually. You MUST get the PRO version though and not the free one.

Digsby: you can connect Skype, Faceboock, ICQ, Myspace, Google, Yahoo, Hotmail/MSN live, twitter all in one... I'm impress with the product.

Go with Pidgin. It's open source. I used Digsby but really didn't like how all the IM's connect through their server so that means giving them your log-in's and passwords.

Pidgin connects directly and has a ton of plugins.

Digsby or Pidgin. No matter how much you google around you wont find any more advanced and user friendly.

I have the pro - and its still fucked.

I gotta go with Pidgin too ... easy to write plugins in Perl too. Rules.

I started using this about a month ago and I really like it. It has good features and seems to work well.

trillian is working fine on my end. no problems saving anything. they get a little buggy once every few months...but I would stick with em imo

So far, the new Trillian Astra has been running great, but then, I never had a problem with the old version either.

ICQ - most other platform users get deleted pretty rapidly from my list

or you can do what I do. upgrade the ram and use windows 7 so my computer can function will all 5 messaging programs running.

Since upgrading to ASTRA, Trillian has been running great.

Before upgrading.... not so much.

Ouch- thats what im trying to avoid...

Digsby is definitely a good one, but I've got the ASTRA Trillian and have no problems. But each their own!
