you just cant compare a production car to a kit car... it has to have an engine out of something, may as well be a reliable, powerful corvette engine

I've been eyeballing these cars for a while, but then i got into airplanes and the sports cars just dont do it for me anymore, but that is a damn nice ride

An Ultima GTR will destroy a Corvette in just about any situation - get the Ultima!

Quarter mile.. yes... the Ultima would beat the much heavier Corvette hands down... it's geared for that. But.. if you're talking distance and top speeds.. fuggetaaboutit..

what about a Cobra?

The only production road car faster than the Ultima GTR is the McLaren F1.

The GTR is much faster than any standard Corvette on the road. As for racing, well that depends on the size of your wallet :thumbsup

Cobras are very nice cars when standing still, and very fast cars when going in a straight line. However, being English, I'm used to roads with corners :winkwink:

Ummm I always thought the Cobras were invented as raod racing cars, I think even way back in the 60's they could pull well over 1G in lateral acceleration.
