Why is epassporte so popular when they charge 5% to pay someone?
I'm about to pay some guy $1k, but to do that I have to load the funds into my epassporte account - and that costs me $50 to do.. that's freaking insane
Am I missing something here? |
No,you are not miss anything. But i receive a lot of money on epassporte so i dont have that cost when i need to pay something.Plus i think when you wire money there is no that cost.
|
well I get paid via epass and pay others via epass....so usually its a $2 fee for me and that is great
|
Two words.
Tax evasion. :winkwink: |
Yeah for a biz account its 2$ flat per transaction not sure where the 50$ came from is that the load fee?
|
I only use epass when I absolutely positively have to. I passed on a designer last week cuz he'd only take epass.
It's not even the fees I get so pissed off about. It's the fact that it takes like 10 days to get cash from my bank account to my epass account. Sucks. |
Short answer: 'cuz PayPal hates porn.

Epass doesn't charge 5% to pay someone. You are talking about the fee for sending money from your bank account to your epass account, and that is different. I believe paying someone with epass costs less than a dollar.

Maybe the guy should take some of the burden of getting payed by epassporte... ??
|
Your question is misleading.
It's 30 cents to pay someone. $3 to load by checking account, $5 to load by credit card. If you load by a bank wire, it's $50. |
i think you are not missing anything...

I love ePass...because I've never had to load my account. Great for just receiving payments and withdrawing. :)

It is 5% to load by credit card to a standard personal account, not $5. The original poster is right about the fee to load $1,000 by credit card being $50. The fee for a bank wire to a business account is $30, with a $2 charge per payment to other accounts, not sure what it is to bank wire to a personal account, but I guess it is the same as business ie $30 regardless of the amount. So if you load $10k it is just 0.3% |
My bank charges me 3% for loading money to epass and then epass charges 5%. So I'm paying 8% load fee. Then it's a $3 atm fee to withdraw funds.
