What makes a good TGP? -OR- TGP Tips & Tricks

I'm thinking about putting up a TGP.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Scripts, tips or tricks?

Let em' flow.........

flashfreak 12-06-2002 03:03 AM

a nice and simple design might help...
I know people will point thehun or other big tgps with crappy designs but if your tgp is new you must consider this aspect too...
I redesigned a TGP for a client recently and now his productivity raised by 200% .

And so are the hitbots.
About 30% of the traffic out there is now fake.

boneprone 12-06-2002 04:30 AM

and growing.

boneprone 12-06-2002 04:30 AM

100k tgps are opening by the dozens.

Like I said, its a cancer.

Time to fade to black.

Yes, porn demand is growing, but not nearly as fast as the supply.
The supply of tgps is saturated.

If you want in the industry and want to make $$, building another tgp aint gunna do it.

I concur. If you don't have $50K to $100K to invest in this biz right off the bat, think of another career. The goldrush days are behind us now. Time to wake up and treat this industry like a real business.
:thumbsup

what does concur mean?

...starting/running a tgp means a shit load of fun and pleasure and......

if you plan to review your submitted gallerys.....oh that`s the best part. all those funny popup hells, redirects. and your blacklist usually grows faster than your traffic :-) that`s real fun !
of course, you can use chokers gallerys, or sponsor hosted gallerys. but then you'll miss a lot !

...building up traffic.....oh yes. that`s also real great. especially in the beginning, when you have to build it up from the scratch.....all of that nice trading shit. that`s real cool. you just check the wmboards for traffic trading requests.....nothing easier than to find a couple of honest traders to get started. and even if you find nothing there....you still have the listings at sextracker. since you (usually) only have a few 100 uniques daily at that time (maybe a bit paid traffic too), you look at the ones that are ranked between 500-1000, cuz you may already know that it`s almost useless to trade with bigger ones if you can`t send enough to get even noticed by their scripts. you had luck and all your trades are doin' fine.......you also have some with a prod around 1000% that send 90%proxy traffic....oh yes, these are the best of course :321GFY ..... and....of course, they are really happy to get lot`s of your paid traffic if you bought some. (ok, maybe you know already there`s something wrong and remove those freaks that are to stupid to use their hitbots).....
so you may end up with 20 or 30 almost 100% honest trades and everything is doin fine. you grow hundrets daily and that big smile in you face shows, that you have a lot of fun while you are looking at your cj-scripts stats.
since you have just started you could't afford a dedi with oxeo, datahosters or whatever....but why use such expensive hosts if there are others, where you get your dedi for 100-200$ monthly. so you think you're really smart and laugh about those that pay 500$ or more for a box.
then, one morning before you go to work, you take a lil look at your stats.......oh ! seems the server was down for a couple of hours......traffic dropped by 50% or more.....hey shit so much fun !:thumbsup ..... oh and then right after the downtime your prod is megashitty for a couple of hours and you send only like 50uniques to your trades !! real nice and funny.........
ha, but you have a bit of your paid traffic left and bump the rest of it in like crazee and a few hours later everything is fine again.
until the next funny downtime of course :-)
....bla....bla....bla.....

so with bulding up and maintaining a tgp you have a shitload of fun and every night when you go to bed you fall into a peaceful sleep, knowing that you have a tgp nice growing tgp that can drop to zero with the next downtime of your server.

so how can anyone say tgp'ing is not fun ! every week 100s of ppl start a new tgp/mgp and all because they want to have the same fuckin fun........:winkwink:

i rather spend my couple of left $$ for more beer in vegas than for paid traffic to cover downtimes and shitty trades.

anyways....good luck bro !

....

I wouldn't tell you NOT to do it, but TGP is NOT easy. Instead of going with what HAS worked, look for the new trend. Take a gamble and go in that direction. If it works, GREAT. If it doesn't, then fine you're like everybody else. You tried something and it failed.

We have a pay site, and some other stuff going on to create traffic so that it can basically be directed to our flagship pay site, but we're also trying many different avenues that are a little unconventional. Some have worked, some have not. The ones that haven't, we're still pushing to see if it's becaues of how we executed or the idea itself doesn't work.

Good luck bud, hope it works out, but don't dream about that Porsche just yet.

Steve 12-06-2002 10:25 AM

I'm getting sick of running TGP sites. I just ran across a non-Proxy IP hitbot the other day (and guess what? hitbot trades are always in yor top 5-10). 0.00% Proxy traffic sent in. That's just great. Traffic trade scripts finally intergrate Proxy IP detection/comparison/auto-banning and now the cheaters up the ante again.

Look, you can sit in your chair staring at a stats interface and wonder just how many guys are raping you, or you can focus on other parts of this business.

50k TGPs used to be cash cows. Now, I wouldn't wipe my ass with a 150k TGP. (These are CJ style I am talking about - bookmark powered sites that don't rely on trades are a horse of a different color).

I love how guys say "well I'll just stuff the update to my TGP with 40 galleries everyday". What the fuck? Why not submit 1-2 galleries to a bunch of other sites. That would take far less time, and you wouldn't give a shit about trades.

JayJay 12-06-2002 10:56 AM

ill give you a good tip about TGP
don't waste your time
