Anyone browsing via a reliable VPN tunnel?

I'm trying to get an account on relakks, but they decline my CC...
Anyone know of any other services that offer VPN tunneling, perhaps free?

No luck on this end with a reliable source...LMK if and when you come across one.

What is your location, who is your ISP, and what are your requirements?

I'm pretty clueless as to VPN's. Why would do people want or require VPN's?

most people wouldnt from their home pc.

if you're at work and jumping on the internet and you dont want your boss to see what sites you're going to or if you're in a hotel on their connection, and you want to keep your browsing private.

basically anytime you're on a public network and you want to keep your browsing private.

Depends on if the session is encrypted. Your boss will still see connections going to the VPN, If the sesion is unencrypted, he'll still see your requests being made to the VPN server.

Why would a Virtual PRIVATE Network be unencrypted? :D

I'd be looking at setting it up on your own dedicated server. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I can just imagine a VPN provider logging everything that goes through "for potential future legal defense purposes"

BTW, another use for a VPN is if you hop onto public wireless connections. Unless you access sites with https:// URLs your request and the returned content is visible to anyone sniffing. This includes your browser sending and accepting cookies; replaying a cookie sniffed from you loading a single page on GFY would be sufficient to capture your account.
