Anyone use a FLEXPLAY DVD before ?
I saw a no return DVD rental stand at the San Jose airport. Seeing as US air has no entertainment decided to rent one. The dvd is packaged in seal plastic and they tell you several times not to open it till u are ready to view. It has unlimited viewing for 48 hrs, after which it self destructs. Interesting concept, anyone try it yet ? The only problem was, my laptop ran out of juice before the movie ended:1orglaugh

They used to have them in 7-eleven stores in the Orlando area probably 5 years ago. They didn't seem to last there long, maybe 6 months, and we didn't see them again.
Supposedly the surface of the dvd oxidizes so it becomes unreadable. |
I saw them in MIA when we were leaving but didn't get one but thought that was a really good idea :) xx

Those are the red discs that degrade after a few days. They sell them at Staples from time to time for $2 a disc. Can't beat that if you were just going to rent it anyhow.

the movie quality is good and a great idea. The only other thing is they are vailable online for 4.99 it was a buck more + tax at the airport. But what ever, beats staring at the ceiling for hours:winkwink:
