Just got back from seeing District 9
 

And it was actually a really great movie. Had all the qualities I enjoy in a film. Good story, good comedy, good action, great acting, and amazing special effects. All around a must see! :thumbsup

I'll go to see this movie today, heard that it is a very good one.

I think it's one of the best sci fi movies ever.

Watched the trailer which was no use, did not tell me a lot other than it was about aliens.

I guess you haven't seen much of the previews for District 9 then huh? They both have aliens is about all they have in common.

Saw this movie last night and i have to admit, it was way better then i thought it would be. Definitely a great movie worth watching again. :thumbsup

Honestly the trailer didn't show ANYTHING about the movie, it was more of a teaser if anything. It actually worked out better that way because it didn't show off the best parts of the film or explain the ENTIRE plot like most trailers do.

As for the humor it obviously wasn't full of it, but I like when a film has a good mixture of everything, and there were a few scenes that made me chuckle.

OMG V was classic...loved it as a kid and still love that kind of series/movie.

Looking forward to seeing this movie. Although I hate packed theaters so will probably wait till next week.

Don't get pumped up too much with hype, and you'll enjoy it. It's not the best sci-fi movie ever, but it sure does show the kind of film a pure geek can make, when un-molested by the Hollywood process.

I won't give away too much, but in the last 20 minutes, some serious ass-kicking takes place, and the thing thats so cool about it is the pseudo-documentary feel. The effects are so good and well integrated into the shots. You never catch yourself thinking "that's CGI". The stuff looks real.

I can't wait to see it!

Going to see it 2morow. After Comic-con I was ready to see this! Looks really good.
