I just installed the upgrade but haven't really had a chance to take it out for a spin yet :thumbsup

bought it and installed it on my macbook pro. lots of new features and enhancements. For the mac, it's the video editing platform. PC wise there are a few out there. But FCP is a winner for sure.

Yes, it ROCKS! Seamless upgrade from Version 6.06 The whole suite is second to none. We're cranking product out like there's no tomorrow.

i wanna sell my macbook pro for a newer one. the new one's at 2.8Ghz are badass and final cut pro runs like a devil on them. my 2.66 Santa Rosa one is still quick though.

Not yet, but I think I will in the next few weeks, wonder what's changed

sinclair 08-16-2009 12:48 PM

Been workin with it for about the last week and a half. So far so good. Appears to be pretty stable. No lock ups or crashes.

Biggest improvement for me has been the expanded ProRes. Transcoding to ProRes 422 LT has cut my render time down at least by half.

The Speed Change tools are way cool and super intuitive. Going to start digging into the Alpha Transitions, they seem pretty tight as well.

It was worth the upgrade for me just with the ProRes. Makes working with HDV and AVCHD so much easier.
