Who here relocated from winter-summer to summer-summer (warm) climate?

Ok, I'm fed up with heating bills, shit load of clothes, my bike gathering dust 9 months a year, allergies due to "burnt" air, chemical fed fruits and so much more.

Who relocated from the standard winter-summer climate to an all year warmish place?

Was it worth it?

I do summer and summer...

I spend 8-9 months a year in the Dominican Republic where its summer all the time.

I go to Norway for the rest of the year...Usually June, July, August or so.

I like this set up. Keeps me warm and in board shorts all year.

I did Holland to southern Spain.
It's not hot in winter but its still around 20 and sunny, I never need heating and I have to put a coat on probably one day a year.

I lived in Puerto Rico for over a year and loved it....However, even though PR had a nice breeze, it was still hot as hell in the summer.....And sometimes you will miss the cool crisp air of the fall in a colder climate....There were times in PR where I wish I could snap my fingers and take in a deep breath of Ohio October air.

edit...And another thing....Just because you're tired of heating bills doesn't mean that you won't pay out the ass in Electricity bills from running the Air Conditioner all day and night.

we did the same and are actually pretty much in the most south point of spain, last winter was pretty damn cold actually, we burned 2m3 of wood along with like 600 euros of electricity on the electric heaters.
