uhmm... do any gfyers cover their homes in christmas lights?

My gf always wants to put up christmas lights around the outside of our home, which is kinda hard considering our house is very tall and we have no real non slip ground for a ladder to stand on. This year however we did something different and put up an 8 metre by 8 metre (25 by 25 feet) star figure which can be seen from about 2 miles away. Gunna have a nice power bill after christmas... :Graucho
